1. AGHORA WE ENCOUNTERED
This is an AGHORA we were destined to meet at Kumbh mela in Allahabad 2019. Five of us ladies
came out awestruck and couldnot help thinking that we were guided to his presence. This is a
translation of whathe spoke to us in the brief interview.We are sorry the volume is not very good,

was magical, and the energy around him vibrant yetpeaceful.

Q. What is (A) Ghor?
Ans. To survivein the world, people resort to various activities whichcould be selfish in nature .
Aghoras are those who leftthose selfish activities. When yousee them, wearing chains made of
skulls etc,they look hard but they couldbe compared to coconutwith exterior shell that is hard
and sweet water and cream inside. Graveyard is a place signifying both death and birth. They are
not concerned for money or anything else. Everybody believes Shiva is associated with graveyard. If
you wish to get close to him where else wouldyou go but to where he is. Everybody comesthere
one day but that is after their death, we wear ash, to constantly keep us grounded. This is oldest
tradition of India and is started by Guru Dattatreya.
We believe there is no duality. Nothing is good nor bad. Our clothes in black also signify that. We
take our meals considering it is Mata Annapurna, pray and eat feeling blessed. Once it nourishes
you and change form youdiscard it and consider that it is detestable. But did youconsider that it is
fodder forsomething else. Looking at everything with equanimity is the essence of our sect.
Q. What is the kindofsadhanathat yougo throughthat helpsyoureach the state of
equanimity?
Ans. We undertake rigorous sadhana and the details of which we keep secret. Largely, our sadhana
includes three parts. One is Shiv sadhana, Shav Saadhana and Shamshan sadhana. All three are very
different . Since it is kept secret we see differentmedia writing whateverthat comes to them.
Q. I heard youseeGodduringyoursadhana?
Ans. We do, if youhave faith in God and that is largely why you are here, similarly, if you have faith,
God has to come. He comes. Aghoras do not restrict God only to the Idol in the temple, we witness
God in everything.
Q. What wouldyouliketo say to peoplelikeus,society?
Ans. Don’t misunderstand Aghoris, if it is his wish Aghori can give you everything. In Indian
tradition, foreverSaints from different sects are working at wellbeing of the humanity. We sit in
graveyard and workforthe community.

2. Q. Howdo peopleknow/trustyouaredoingthat?
Ans. If you don’t that’s OK. How a doctor does surgery in the theatre, wehave to do whatwe are
doing in the graveyard only.We sit and work there to make sure the soul is guided and takes
rebirth appropriately.
Q. Howdoesthe newgenerationbelievethat?
Ans. It makes no differenceif anyone believes or not, just as God does what he has to do, what we
do will continue. Aghoris are considered to be in Gods image. Its Gods work.
Q. Youbelieveinkarma?
Ans. Yes, ofcourse.What happens in your life physically,mentally, financially is a result of your
karma.100%

Ans. I mentioned to youearlier, there is no such thing as good or bad. This has come to me and I do
it. I was finishing my education, M.Tech and got a call from my Guru. I haven’t knownGod before. I
was living in Andhra and receiveda call frommy Guru and reached Ujjain. I was the only son in a
wealthy family. All that does not mean anything to me now.
Q. Howdo youfeel away fromfamilynow?
Ans. My family was small, but My Guru, who I now consider father has made me part of a huge
family.
Q. Howdoesyourfamilyfeel now?
Ans. They appreciate my work.My mother says everyonewishes that God should be born in
neighbours family. But my mother wished otherwise.
Q. Who is yourGuru?
Ans: Shri Parampujya Adeshnathji Aghori.
My Guru lives in Gujarat in Khedbrahma. I am from Tanuku in AP. I was returning home once and
way about 18kms away from home. Received a call from my Guru and was asked to join him. I was
empty so my Guru couldfill me up. I had no interest or knowledge of God until then. When I was in
my Standard 3 I pickeda cigarette and as the entire village knows my father and willinform him if
they see me, I found a safe place in graveyard and since then visited the same often.
Q. Howmany yearsisit since youwerecalled?Howmanyyearsis yoursadhanafor?
Ans. I don’t know, can’t remember, and sadhana has no count, we have no count of time in Gods
work.In material world, youhave countof everything, in our world, we don’t. All our effortsand

3. hours are involved in spiritual work.Ladies are also part of this. My big family has people mostly
from Andhra Pradesh and the rest from abroad. This is an ancient sect and wewish to wipe out the
misinformation that is floating around as regards this sect. That is our responsibility. I live in
Samshan opposite the Kalbhairav temple in Ujjain. Same sadhana for both men and women. The
lady disciple is Pratyagaranath.
Q. Howdo yousurvive?What isyourincome?
Ans :He survives on cigarettes and tea. He has little needs.
Q. Peoplesayspiritual aspirantsandthesesort ofsects liveintoxicated.Is that right?
Ans: What is intoxication. There is no more intoxication than Bhairavji/ Mahakaal. Aghoris live in
Girnar, Kaamakhya, Kedarnath and Gir also. All Aghoris are not same they have sects too. Media
from all over the world, have projected terribly wrong information and weplan to bring out a
website to explain the truth of us.
Q. Youhavelittle needs?But the samemight not be truefor all discipleswho areherewith
youhowdo theylead theirlife?
Ans: When one is married they have the duty to provide and be responsible to their family. They
carry on withtheir regular life and do their sadhana. Since we do not have specific times when they
have to do the sadhana they find time as per their convenience.They do in nights. The young boys
here willget married and wouldlead a regular social life,even though they are doing their sadhana.
I was chosen by my guru to lead, when AGHORIs take vow, wepromise to “live as Humans with
Humanity”. Selfishness, greed, jealousy makes one utter lies but we don’t resort to such deeds as we
consider all humans are Gods. Once we find equanimity between all that is around us, we see God
in and around us. Being abusive, cheating, and all other negativity is directed towards almighty.
That is what westay away from.
