they tend to be working or been a housewife.
This reinforces a stereotypical old
couples because they take care of each
other but can challenge it because not
all old people can care for themselves.

This character from Tracy beaker represents a
stereotypical infants because she has colourful
things and always have a smile on no matter the
situation.

The character Rosie is a teenager and is represented
as a typical young woman. She is portrayed as a
serious, sad and selfish woman who cares about
what happens in her life and nobody else’s.
East enders
The character Dot is an elderly lady and challenges the
stereotypical elderly woman. She is portrayed as a
woman who isn’t weak and vulnerable but a woman who
maintain her independence.
