weather, ‘SMALL TALK”
• Watch Shortland Street, listen to NewsTalk ZB Auckland on 98.4 FM Radio Station
• Don’t speak native tongue over english at home - set times that you must speak english
only, like one to two hours per night. Like and follow local businesses, TV Channels,
current affair programmes, politicians, celebrities on Social media. Like, comment and
share their thoughts. Learn to engage with local people in their language.
• Label everything at home with English sticky notes with correct spelling and “Phonetic
spelling”
• Read English articles e.g. NZ Herald, Stuff
