GE Oil & Gas TFHPU Extension Module
AFP designed, manufactured and tested an IWOCS
extension module powered by a GE TFHPU. The IWOCS
module and GE TFHPU are housed within a DNV2.7-1
frame providing offshore lifting capability. The integrated
circuit delivers regulated pressure and flow (LP and HP) to
a bulkhead panel via air driven pumps and accumulators.

5. Hydraulic power unit
Scope: project management, Engineering design, manufacture and
Testing
The Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) was custom designed and built for use during the
Griffin well abandonment campaign. It is able to provide full hydraulic control for
subsea functions via the delivery of regulated pressure and flow.
Hydraulic power is provided by air driven LP, HP and recirculation pumps via a
branched network of 6 x HP and 29 x LP lines. Each line has an independent block and
bleed valve whilst high pressure accumulators provide for energy storage.
The HPU is housed within a purpose built DNV 2.7-3 frame certified for offshore lifting.
Sulphate Removal Chemical
Injection Package
The Sulphate Removal Module Chemical Injection Package is
to be installed on the Kraken Field FPSO Project as part of the
overall Seawater Treatment Package.
The injection skid comprises of 6 systems for each of the
process chemicals. Main components include Milton Roy
API 675 metering pumps with diaphragm rupture detection,
pulsation dampeners, tanks and a carbon steel skid frame.
CTLF Hydraulics
The Compensated Tension Lift Frame (CTLF) is a riser tensioner
system which includes an AFP built HPU and control panel.
The SS316 HPU is housed within a DnV 2.7-3 frame and
consists of 2 pneumatically driven pumps and a bank of 50L
accumulators. It delivers regulated pressure and flow to the
rest of the system.
The SS316 control panel is the primary point of control for the
CTLF which is represented on a mimic panel. The unit connects
to the HPU and CTLF via a 24 port stab plate.
Projects
Surface flow tree panel
The Surface Flow Tree (SFT) Panel provides full hydraulic
control of valve functions when connected to the SFT.
It features a LP system with independent block and bleed
valves, recirculation system, SS316 reservoir, SS316 mimic
panel and a purpose built frame certified to DNV 2.7-3.
