Aflao Traditional Council Reacts to Group’s Allegations Against Torgbi Fiti
1. Subject: Rejoinder to Concern Citizens' Publications on Aflao's Governors
Dear Concern Citizens,
I trust this letter serves you well. We, the members of the Standing Committee representing the
Aflao Traditional Council, wish to reiterate our position on your recent publications addressing
allegations against Torgbui Amenya Fiti V by certain aggrieved Chiefs in the Aflao Traditional
Area.
Upon careful review, we note the absence of your group's engagement during crucial moments,
such as the challenges faced by the only government senior high school in Aflao and the period
when the Aflao Traditional Area was under military siege four years ago during the general
registration. These situations demanded unified efforts for the well-being of our community.
Furthermore, we seek clarity on the substantial contributions your group has made to the social
and economic development of Aflao. Development encompasses a broad spectrum of issues
beyond chieftaincy matters. As custodians of tradition and guardians of Aflao's heritage, the
Traditional Council is dedicated to advancing progress across all facets of our community.
A specific reminder is extended to Prof Ernest Dumor, the Chairman of the Concern Citizens
group, regarding the honoring durbar held for him and his children, Mawuena and Komla
Dumor, in Aflao some years back. We also highlight the significant contribution of the Aflao
Traditional Council towards the burial of his wife and Komla.
The said Torgbui Fiti V that the Concern Citizens are referring as tyran is still making everything
possible for the Road named after Komla Dumor in Aflao which is badly unmotorable to be
constructed linking the village of Mr. Daniel Dzotsiasi a member of your group.
The Paramount Chiefs singular sponsorship of electricity to the Agblekpui Village of the
Concern Citizens' Daniel Dzotsiasi stands as a testament of his dedication to the well-being of all
citizens.
It's disheartening to witness what seems to be a betrayal of Torgbui Amenya Fiti V, the
Paramount Chief of Aflao, who has consistently supported and contributed to the development
and protection of his people and community.
Particularly puzzling is the involvement of Prof Ernest Dumor, who now associates with those
who label him as an autocratic person. This is in contrast to his previous stance when he refused
their suggestion for Komla to be buried in Accra.
The Standing Committee of the Aflao Traditional Council vehemently refutes the baseless
allegations made by the Concern Citizen group. We assert that the Paramount Chief's leadership
is not tyrannical, and there is no evidence of land grabbing. We emphasize the documents
provided by the Paramount Chief, supporting Aflao's history as a unified settlement.

2. Expressing surprise at your group's failure to acknowledge the positive aspects of the provided
documents, we criticize the perceived agenda to tarnish the Paramount Chief's reputation. We
draw attention to what we perceive as inadequate research and partiality on your part.
We hope your concerns extend beyond chieftaincy matters, encouraging your active participation
in initiatives that enhance the socioeconomic well-being of Aflao. Constructive collaboration is
vital for the prosperity of our community.
We extend an invitation for an open dialogue to better comprehend your group's objectives and
explore ways we can collectively contribute to Aflao's holistic development.
The Standing Committee of the Aflao Traditional Council urges the public to dismiss the report
with the contempt it deserves.
Long live Torgbui Fiti V, long live Aflao Kpoklidukor.
Best regards,
