Beyeeman Tano Kwaw Benbuin III is a Legitimate Chief, Claims by Nana Kwame Nkansah II are Malicious – Nana Adu Kwame III Kyidomhene of Aowin Traditional Area, Nana Adu Kwame, has condemned various harassment and assassination attempts allegedly made on the life of Beyeeman Tano Kwaw Benbuin III, by the Odikro of Jomoro, Nana Kwame Nkansah, which led to the death of four assailants last year among other deliberate attempts to soil the name of the legimately enstooled chief by some disgruntled individuals for their parochial interest. In a press statement on Friday, April 28, Nana Adu Kwame insists that Tano Kwaw Benbuin III was properly nominated and installed per all customs and traditions and therefore his enstoolment is legitimate. He also eulogized the chief for his accomplishment in the past four years notwithstanding all the threats to his life and murderous harassment make him worthy of his name. Background: There are five Kingmakers on the Annor Asemah Oyoko Paramount Stool in Aowin. I Nana Adu
Kwame lll, the chief of Nyankomam and the Kyidomhene of the Aowin Traditional Area, am the only one
alive. Thank you, ladies and gentlemen of the media for honouring my invitation. I have called you journalists
today to set the records straight. This is to counter the many falsehoods thrown into the public sphere, just
to deceive unsuspecting people on the Aowin Paramount Stool, including our customs and traditions by Louis
Yamoah (aka Nana Kwame Nkansah). Through this press statement, I will also be exposing the evil plots by
Louis Yamoah (or Nana Kwame Nkansah ll), including the many unlawful means he has resorted to destool
our Paramount Chief, Beyeeman Tano Kwaw Benbuin lll and his alleged involvements in the many
assassinations attempts on the Omanhene's life.
o I Nana Adu Kwame lll, one of the Kingmakers on the Aowin Paramount Stool and the only one alive,
was present when the Omanhemaa, the grandmother of the Omanhene, Beyeeman Tano Kwaw
Benbuin lll (or the Queenmother) of the Aowin Traditional Area called us the five Kingmakers in 20L3
to communicate to us the person she had nominated, and who had been vetted by the royal family,
as the next Omanhene of the Aowin Traditional Area. As our customs and traditions go, this is a highly
secret affair which is not written in any Kingmaker's report as Mr Louis Yamoah has been lying about.
Mr Louis Yamoah was not even an Odikro in 2013 when this happened. He was not one of us and the
queenmother does not know him. So, it is strange that he was on UW claiming that the current
Omanhene's grandmother never nominated him! This is palpable falsehood!
o Ladies and gentlemen of the media, now let me make a few comments about the so-called
Kingmokers' Report. First, there are five Kingmakers on the Aowin Paramount Stool; namely: the
Gyasehene, the Baamuhene, the Tufuhene, Adumhene and myself, the Kyidomhene. However, the
so-called fictitious report only has a forged signature of the late Gyasehene, Nana Ekomah Annor.
We have his real signature for the sake of evidence. Secondly, there is no other signature of any other
Kingmaker. Thirdly, the report, believed to have been written in 2018, are two and have two different
dates (10th January 2018 and 15th January 2018). As one can imagine, the facts in the reports are
different: the first purports to name Nana Nyameah Payin as the candidate for the Yakasi Adiakyire
Stool and Bullu Agyei for the Aowin Paramount Stool while the second omits Nana Nyameah Payin
from it. This falsehood is contained in the so-called report!
o Again, Ladies and Gentlemen, the report then makes the erroneous claim that Ellis Famieh Duncan is
from the maternal line of Twumwaa Payin. This is a substantial lie and quite unfortunate when
indeed, it is an open secret that the sister of Ame Payin (that is Twumwaa Payin) was never blessed
with children. How could Ellis Famieh Duncan have descended from her is a figment of the
imagination of Louis Yamoah and his criminal cohorts. lndeed, this fact was clearly stated by Ellis
Famieh Duncan's own uncle, Mannah Kofi Nzole, during the investigations commissioned by the

o Moreover, the family of the late Gyasehene have caused their lawyer to write to the National House
of Chiefs and copied in our Omanhene that he was never a party to any suit against the eligibility of
the Omanhene. That, his signature had been forged on many occasions in reports he never knew
existed. When he was bedridden, Louis Yamoah, Bernard Kwame Mussey and Ellis Famieh Duncan
kept on circulating reports which contained forged signatures purported to be his. Sadly, even when
he died in July 2021, (he became terminally ill in May 2O2L and his doctor-son brought him to the
Ridge Hospital in Accra until his death)yet, the late Gyasehene was included against one of the many
frivolous suits against the Omanhene.
o Since the installation of Beyeeman Tano Kwaw Benbuin lll, there have been seven assassination
attempts on his life, with the eighth one happening on 6th November 2022 which led to the death of
4 assailants. lt is obvious to state that Louis Yamoah, Ellis Famieh Duncan, Bernard Kwame Mussey
and their accomplices are the architects of these assassination attempts. On Onua TV and on an
Aowin social-media platform, Louis Yamoah issued threats against the Omanhene-evidence
attached. On the Aowin platform, he even gave the reason why the Omanhene should be
assassinated; namely that he (Beyeeman) was never nominated by his grandmother and that his
name is not even in the fabricated Kingmakers' report. On Onua TV and UTV, Mr Louis Yamoah stated
that our Omanhene should go back to the United Kingdom because he was not nominated and
enstooled by the Traditional Council, failing which his life will not be safe (copy of the audio of his
speech is attached).
o I Nana Adu Kwame lll, Chief of Nyankamam and the Kyidomhene of the Aowin Traditional Area and
also a Kingmaker of the Paramount Stool of Aowin state emphaticallythat allthe invented allegations
levelled against Beyeeman Tano Kwaw Benbuin lll, the Omanhene of Aowin Traditional Area, are
untrue. As far back in 2013, Nana Asuamah Payin ll, the grandmother of the Omanhene, Beyeeman
Tano Kwaw Benbuin lll, the Queenmother of the Aowin Traditional Area, nominated Thomas Antwi-
Agyei (now the Omanhene of the Aowin Paramountcy). As customs and traditions demand, the
current Omanhene then paid the customory drinks that we demanded. At that time, our
(Kingmakers') head and representative in the person of Nana Ndoli Payin ll, the then Chief of
Kramokrom and also the Baamuhene of the TraditionalArea accepted the customary drinks to signify
our acceptance of the Queenmother's nominee, having vetted and screened him to be worthy. Proof
of the customary drinks is attached to this press release-the customary drinks were distributed
accordingly among us.
o ln May 2074, we invited Beyeeman to return from the United Kingdom to be installed as the
Omanhene of the Aowin Traditional Area when one Eric Kumi Ntaah obtained an injunction on the
enstoolment. The injunction was set aside after five long years before we could install Beyeeman.
During the installation, there were only three of us Kingmakers left (Gyaasehene, myself and the
Adumhene). The Gyasehene who had advanced in age was bedridden and could not attend the
installation.
o Most importantly, Louis Yamoah or Nana Kwame Nkansah ll, the Odikro of Jomoro, is not a Kingmaker
of the Paramount Stool of Aowin nor is he a member of the Oyoko Royal Family of Enchi and he is
not an indigene of Aowin, but from Sefwi-Amoaya. The late Awulae Boafo Ntaah ll, the then
Omanhene of Aowin traditional Area and also the uncle of Nana Tano Kwaw Benbuin lll, carved a
stool for his mother at Jomoro to serve under the Kyidom Stool in L97O's. Moreover, he is not the

3. spokesperson of the Aowin Traditional Council but has deceptively christened himself thus, and
arrogating the fictitious title of the Chairmon of the tudicial Committee, a position which does not
exist in the Chieftaincy Act. Louis Yamoah or Nana Kwame Nkansah ll is an Odikro under my stool
(the Kyidom Stool of Nyankomam). However, he has fraudulently gazetted or registered himself-
with the connivance of the previous registrar of the Aowin Traditional Council as a Divisional Chief
(please attached documents).
After the installation of Beyeeman Tano Kwaw Benbuin lll, Mannah Kofi Nzole who claimed to be the
Abusuapanin sued Beyeeman at the Judicial Committee of the Regional House of Chiefs, Sekondi and
lost the case. He later filed an appeal at the National House of Chiefs, Kumasi. The case is still pending
for determination, which we have been waiting for since September 2020. I want to state that the
Judicial Committee of the Regional House of Chiefs has the same powers as the High Courts of Ghana.
Since the Judicial Committee of Western Regional House of Chiefs, Sekondi, has made ruling in favour
of Beyeeman Tano Kwaw Benbuin lll, and an appeal having been lodged with the National House of
Chiefs, all the statements and reports written on the matter is tantamount to contempt of court and
we will take the appropriate steps to ensure this happens in the interest of justice.
Conclusively, I want to say that all the various claims made by Louis Yamoah or Nana Kwame Nkansah
ll, the Odikro of Jomoro, against Beyeeman Tano Kwaw Benbuin lll, are full of lies. Louis Yamoah
knows that with all the evil deeds he has done against our Omanhene, the right steps will be taken
for him to be demoted down to an Odikro when our Omanhene is gazetted. This is one of the reasons
why he wants the Omanhene dead! Finally, lwould like to state categorically-without any
equivocation-that Beyeeman Tano Kwaw Benbuin lll was properly nominated and installed per our
customs and traditions and therefore his enstoolment is legitimate. What he has accomplished in the
past four years notwithstanding all the threats to his life and murderous harassment make him
worthy of his name-Beyeeman. Thank you
