The event was held in partnership with a coalition of Eastside providers and advocates, including King County Housing Authority, Attain Housing, Lifewire, The Sophia Way, and Tech 4 Housing, in a "head and heart" discussion to learn more about affordable housing in Eastside King County.

Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) has launched a multi-year advocacy campaign called Build Louder focusing on improving access to adequate and affordable housing worldwide by changing US policies around housing trust funds and secure tenure. The campaign aims to educate about the global housing crisis and 1.6 billion people living in inadequate conditions, as well as promote responsible policies to strengthen communities and reduce poverty. HFHI encourages supporters to advocate for these issues by learning more on their website, contacting legislators, organizing events in their communities, and signing up as an advocacy liaison to receive campaign information and materials.

How to set up a festival booth
Setting a beautiful festival booth will go a long way in ensuring that many people will come to your booth. In our case it is a booth for a car washing fundraiser for Catholic Charities to raise money to help the needy in the community.
Creating a good festival booth will require some aspects when buying the equipment and at the actual set up of the festival booth.
If you get the right equipment and using it well will make your craft stand out from the rest and attract more people. Below are some tips on how to make you create an outstanding festival booth.
Right equipment
Right equipment is the first thing you get for the booth. You will need a tent that will fit the purpose of the booth. Get table which are light transportable and tall enough. You need to place you products in in a place where they are visible and accessible to the customers. Give yourself enough space to sit and move around when talking to the people.
Creating a Great Display
In our case it is a booth for a car washing fundraiser for Catholic Charities to raise money to help the needy in the community. You need to design it in a way that will communicate the message to the people. This will attract many people as opposed to a plain booth which has no plan. This report explores the significance of border towns and spaces for strengthening responses to young people on the move. In particular it explores the linkages of young people to local service centres with the aim of further developing service, protection, and support strategies for migrant children in border areas across the region. The report is based on a small-scale fieldwork study in the border towns of Chipata and Katete in Zambia conducted in July 2023. Border towns and spaces provide a rich source of information about issues related to the informal or irregular movement of young people across borders, including smuggling and trafficking. They can help build a picture of the nature and scope of the type of movement young migrants undertake and also the forms of protection available to them. Border towns and spaces also provide a lens through which we can better understand the vulnerabilities of young people on the move and, critically, the strategies they use to navigate challenges and access support.
The findings in this report highlight some of the key factors shaping the experiences and vulnerabilities of young people on the move – particularly their proximity to border spaces and how this affects the risks that they face. The report describes strategies that young people on the move employ to remain below the radar of visibility to state and non-state actors due to fear of arrest, detention, and deportation while also trying to keep themselves safe and access support in border towns. These strategies of (in)visibility provide a way to protect themselves yet at the same time also heighten some of the risks young people face as their vulnerabilities are not always recognised by those who could offer support.
In this report we show that the realities and challenges of life and migration in this region and in Zambia need to be better understood for support to be strengthened and tuned to meet the specific needs of young people on the move. This includes understanding the role of state and non-state stakeholders, the impact of laws and policies and, critically, the experiences of the young people themselves. We provide recommendations for immediate action, recommendations for programming to support young people on the move in the two towns that would reduce risk for young people in this area, and recommendations for longer term policy advocacy.

- 9. Action #1: Increase public investments in affordable housing We can urge governments to use more funds for affordable housing, which often can get matched by other money, like the federal Low-Income Housing Tax credit. Governments collect taxes and spend money for the public good.
- 10. Action #2: Including affordable housing in new development We can also build affordable housing by requiring developers to build some affordable units in other housing projects they build.
