The document describes various aviation training courses offered by AGILIS and AeroCATS. AGILIS has developed an online education platform called EAD Agilis that offers pilot certification courses such as RVSM/NAT-MNPS, PBN, MEL usage, and PPSP. AeroCATS provides aviation consulting, training, and support services. Together the companies are developing additional online courses on topics like international air traffic, low visibility procedures, aircraft icing, and high altitude operations. They also offer the P.L.A.M. monitoring program and various training packages to help clients with regulatory compliance and aircraft maintenance needs.
Airbus military customer services update 2012ICSA, LLC
Airbus Military Services Update: May 2012
These slides were presented during the Trade Media 2012 event held at Madrid, Spain and Toulouse, France in May 2012.
The presentation was provided by Philippe Galland, Head of Customer Services for Airbus Military.
A key element of the EADS approach for the next few years is to expand the service offerings and segment within the company. Airbus Military and its services approach is a clear key element of this effort.
A key element of the presentation was to look at key elements of what AM calls the FIIS or Full Integrated In-Service Approach. Other service offerings and prospects were examined and discussed as well.
A400 M Training: A Multi-National Solution Set
These slides were presented during the Trade Media 2012 event held at Madrid, Spain and Toulouse, France in May 2012.
The briefing was provided by Ian Burrett, Heading of Training and Aircrew Operations, Customer Services for Airbus Military.
The A400M is not a platform; it is a fleet and a system. Training and operational support are critical components of the overall capability of the product.
The program has shaped an approach to providing integrated training and Ops support via an integrated network.
The plane has a very automated loadmaster system which means that a “typical” operational involving transport would see a three person crew on board, pilot, co-pilot and loadmaster.
The international training center opened in October 2010 and is the hub for the multinational training. As the equipment and tools are installed, the center will be ready for training in the summer of 2012.
In this brochure you will find a overview of the products and services that Daedalus Aviation Group can offer to the global military and civilian aviation market.

Cmte Miguel Dau - OPERATIONS AND PASSENGERS WORKSHOP - Panel 2: How to orchestrate in complex environment different actors in a systematic manner, ensuring the successful implementation of the daily operation and also implement complex projects ensuring the day-to-day business?
A large number of modern jet aircraft, of all sizes and including Very Light Jets (VLJs)s, routinely cruise at high altitudes.
The record of Accidents and Serious Incidents which have accompanied this increase in high altitude flight has suggested that pilot understanding of the aerodynamic principles which apply to safe high-altitude flight may not always have been sufficient. This applies particularly to attempts to recover from an unexpected loss of control. The subject is introduced in this article and covered in comprehensive detail in the references provided.
From a practical point of view, ‘high altitude’ operations are taken to be those above FL250, which is the altitude at above which aircraft certification requires that a passenger cabin overhead panel oxygen mask drop-down system has to be installed. Above this altitude a number of features begin to take on progressively more significance as altitude continues to increase:
There is a continued reduction in the range of airspeed over which an aircraft remains controllable;
True airspeed (TAS) (and therefore aircraft momentum) increases with altitude. However, the effectiveness of the aerodynamic controls and natural aerodynamic damping are both dependant upon indicated airspeed (IAS) and remain largely unchanged. Therefore, the ability of the aerodynamic flight controls to influence flight path or to recover from an upset is progressively reduced as altitude increases;
In the event of depressurisation, the time of useful consciousness for occupants deprived of oxygen reduces dramatically - see the separate articles on Emergency Depressurisation, and Hypoxia.
At very high altitude, occupants are exposed to slightly increased cosmic radiation. This is covered by the separate article "Cosmic Radiation".
This article focuses on aerodynamics and aircraft handling.
As the aviation community continues to implement Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) initiatives, operators want to know what the initiatives are and how they affect individual operators. The question always comes down to value: If I upgrade my aircraft, what will I get for the often substantial investment?
Datalink services are available in most of the world’s oceanic routes and in some domestic airspace, as well. The services provide invaluable support at transfer points where aircraft enter or exit domestic airspace and enter oceanic. The enhanced communication abilities aid the ATC on both sides of tracks and particularly when a controller at one center hands off an aircraft to another ATC center because with a FANS-equipped aircraft, the handoff occurs seamlessly behind the scenes.
Along the routes that have not yet been mandated for FANS, the flight crew has to call an ATC and give verbal updates as to their whereabouts with no support from ground surveillance. This lack of accurate position data is a problem because if an ATC doesn’t know exactly where an aircraft is, the ATC has to maintain greater distance between aircraft. With FANS, an ATC can track aircraft along the entire route and safely and efficiently track and accommodate more aircraft in the airspace. The majority of these enhanced services are available to FANS 1/A-equipped aircraft. Ground facilities around the world are upgrading to FANS work stations.
Which datalink service a particular operator selects depends entirely on what equipment is available for the type of aircraft.

Course
Course Description This course is designed to meet the training requirements for operations during
high-altitude/high-speed flight and introduces some basic aerodynamic principles
and safety during high-altitude/high-speed flight.
High Altitude Aviation Physiology: This module examines how environmental
and health factors can affect a pilot’s performance, as well as the specific effects
of various conditions on vision and consciousness. Finally, it provides
information on the purpose of altitude chamber training (Hypoxia) and related
precautions.
High Altitude Weather: This module introduces pilots to specific weather
related challenges like jetstreams, mountain waves, volcanic ash, and ozone
contamination that they might face during a high altitude flight. Pilots flying at
high-altitude should be aware of these challenges before planning a flight.

The Minimum Equipment List (MEL) is an operational document that crew
members and ground personnel must consult prior to flight to determine whether
or not inoperative equipment affects the airworthiness of the aircraft and the
operational regulations for the intended flight.
The training educates participants on the use and correct interpretation of the
MEL and thereby fulfills the legal requirement AMC1 ORO.GEN.110(e) Operator
responsibilities.According EASArequirements (Annex III - Part-ORO) the operator
is responsible to train its crew members as well as ground personnel dealing with
the MEL on the use and interpretation of the MEL.
The MEL training will be completed through a test at the end of the course.
