This document provides information about a student group project on the importance of studying general education subjects. The group members are listed and the topic and title of the project are introduced. The agenda outlines the different sections of the presentation which include an introduction, literature review, research question, methodology, results, discussion, recommendations, conclusion and references. The literature review summarizes several sources that discuss students' attitudes towards general education requirements and preferences. The research question asks to what extent national university students need to study subjects unrelated to their majors. An online questionnaire was used to collect data from 50 students at Westminster International University. The results of the survey are presented in charts showing responses about university attended, faculty studied and attitudes towards non-relevant subjects.

4. LITERATURE REVIEW
• Martorano (2014), as a result of his research, identifies that students who
choose the subjects they are studying are most likely to spend equal
amount of time on general education classes as in core subjects.
Consequently, more time will be consumed in order to attend classes and
learn all these subjects.

• Ferguson (2015), et. al states that universities allow students to attend a number
of
courses beyond their major to encourage students to broaden their education.

• Some students prefer that general education classes should be free of choice and
that only students who are willing to study this should be able to do so. It should
not be forced upon all undergraduates.
