Tools have evolved significantly over time from simple found objects used by early humans to complex manufactured tools used by modern humans. Early humans such as Australopithecus used found objects like sticks and bones as simple tools, while later Homo habilis created sharpened stone tools for hunting and cutting food. Homo erectus developed more complex tools like hand axes and sharpened sticks, and Homo sapiens created projectile weapons like spears and harpoons for hunting as well as basic stone tools. Cro-Magnon humans were more advanced, inventing fishing nets, sewing, painting, and the bow and arrow. Modern humans continue developing new tools using diverse materials and technologies.
