•Adjustment can take place at any point in life.
3. •Evaluation means assessment, appraise or
review.
•It must be done honestly
•It must not be done with a victim mindset
•It must be done with the intention of taking
necessary action.
4. •Stop and evaluate your life.
•Are you heading in the direction of God’s
purpose for your life.
•Be honest with your self in your assessment.
5. Evaluation- critical questions
•Am I satisfied with the way my life is now?
•Am I truly fulfilled with the course along which
my life is right now?
•Ask these question in specific and general terms.
6. •Is the course of my life now able to enable me
fulfil my purpose in life ?
•What is it or what are those things that have
taken me to where I am Now and that has kept
me where I am Now? Is it a person, a situation, an
event or a decision?
7. •Is how I am spending my time contributing
positively to where I am going in life ? In what
better way can I spend my time than the way I
have been spending it ?
•Why am I in the same condition this time of my
life, with no definite improvement and
advancement?
8. •Of what value are the things that I am doing ?
•Of what value are the relationship that I have ?
•What is in my hand?
•What are the things that have happened to me
that have taken me of course or distracted me?
9. •The need to carry out evaluation of ourselves are
because God’s ways most time are not our ways.
•We need to examine ourselves to see whether
we have not veered off His way.
•Psalm 119: 59 – talk about course correction
10. How can I know I need to make adjustment ?
•When what you are doing consistently is not
producing you any result. When you are not
attaining to the standard you have set.
Don’t stand long at a shut door, make a little
adjustment to see the open door.
11. •Secondly, when you know your present action
are detrimental to your life and purpose, do
away with it by making adjustment because it is
getting in the way of your future and long term
benefit
12. •Thirdly, when what you are doing is causing you
problems. Adjust to eliminate friction. If the
business you are in is bringing more debt than
prosperity we need to make adjustment.
If you are in a relationship that is draining you
instead of adding value to you it is an indication
that you need to change or end it .
13. •Fourthly, we need to make adjustment when we
experience unexpected disruption or our life
unfolds in a way we did not expect .
•When a major crisis occurs , don’t allow it to
take you off from the right path. Joseph didn’t .
•He adjusted and triumph over it .
14. •Sixth, we need to make adjustment to our lives
when we are beginning to have unhealthy
personal relationship. It occurs when we are in
the wrong company, they influenced our
thoughts and actions.
15. •Seventh, we need to make adjustment when we
have displaced crucial spiritual and moral values
with other worldly philosophy.
•If you now value material things more than God,
and your priorities have replace God with other
things.
16. •Eight, we need to make adjustment when we are
no longer spending our time and resources on
personal growth instead it is on entertainment
and vanity.
•Social media has taken over the attention of
many from the pursuit of goals in life.
17. •Ninth, we need adjustment when what should
ordinarily happen is not happening the way the
word of God promises it to be.
•Peter had to obey the instruction of a carpenter
to get a net breaking miracle. John 21:6.
You need adjustment to your mindset about the
word of God.
18. •In making adjustments in life consider the
following?
•State your God given vision for your life. Why are
you created by God?
•What is your purpose in life?
•What are your gifts in life?
•Then Set realistic goals
19. •Assess your obstacles- what are those things I
need to overcome to get back on track an
achieve my goals while fulfilling my destiny?
•State the specific steps you need to take from
where you are now to where you want to get to.

20. •Take time to study the failure of others.
•What can you learn from the failure of some
individuals in the bible?
•Ask yourself if you are following in their steps
and making poor choices and avoiding good
things you should be doing?

21. •Make a commitment or a recommitment to a
good counsel and accountability from the right
counsellors.
•Who is your counsellor?
•Find better counsellors to whom you can submit
your life and plans to and be accountable to
them for help and encouragement. Prov.19:27
22. •Cut off or cut back on relationship that are
hazardous to you in order to maintain a strong
relationship with God.
•Free your self from negative influences.
23. •Change the environment of your life that are
hindering your progress.
•Negative life environment might include , some
forms of entertainment you engage in , your
current job situation, association, habits,
especially secret ones.
•Remove all hindrances. Create a positive
environment.
24. •Look out for God’s directive. Listen to God for
directive and follow strictly his counsel and
leading.
•Have courage to make adjustments in your life.
•Don’t let crisis change your course of life but
make choices that will take you to the place of
your dream.
•You will be the best for it .
