The document discusses active and passive voice in sentences. Active voice is when the subject performs the action, while passive voice is when the subject receives the action. To change a sentence from active to passive voice, the subject and object are interchanged, the verb is changed to the passive form, and "by" is added before the doer of the action. Personal pronouns also sometimes change form in passive constructions.
Active voice: A verb is in the Active Voice when its form shows that the person or thing denoted by the subject does something; or, in other words, is the doer of the action.
Passive Voice: A verb is in the Passive Voice when its form shows that something is done to the person or thing denoted by the subject.
