CLASSROOM, and the
likes will mostlikely be
teacher’s partners to
reading remediation
especially atthis time of
pandemic.
- In assessing learner’s
performance in decoding
and word recognition, the
child is asked to read a
passage and each word
read incorrectly is noted
and marked. However, in
terms of fluency, the time

learner will be re-assessed
using the same reading
materials. The teacher
must again identify the
reading proficiency ofthe
learner. Thus, the posttest
result may then be
compared with the pre-test
results.

through giving him/her a

specifically a certificate of
certified reader.
- Parents/Guardians must
be given the highest
appraisal because oftheir
untiring supportto the
teachers who won’t do the
remedial reading activity
finished successfully
without them giving their
time and assistance to
unlock the reading
struggles ofthe learners,
specially atthis time of
pandemic.
