Growing up
Abraham Lincolnwas born on February 12,1809. He grew up in Hodgenville Kentucky. When he was a little kid
he had a very little education. But he loved books and writing so he taught himself to read and write. People
called him Honest Abe because he was so honest and never told a lie. When he became president he was 52
years old. When he got older he found a woman; her name was Mary Todd Lincoln. He married he in November4,
1842. They has 4 children their names were Robert, Edward (died young) William, and thomas.

Lincolns achievements and what he was known for was that he was remembered for his vital role as a leader
preserving the union during the Civil War. He was also known for ending slavery in the united states. Also he was
known for his character of speech and letters that he wrote. Also he was a very humble man whose
determination and perseverance led him to become president of the United States.

Death
Lincoln died ahorrible death. He was at a theater and a man name John Wilkes Booth shot him on April 14,
1865. He died the following morning. Nobody knows why the person shot him, but people think its because they
didn't like him.

He ended slavery and made everyone happy and safe. He also was very nice so that made his life more easier

because he ended the Civil War. He is a very importants person to a lot of people.
