Motivation
• To promote non-conventional energy
• Produce electricity at cheapest cost for domestic use

Introduction
• The word originates from the Greek word
"piezein", which means "to press". Discovered
in 1880 by Pierre Curie in quartz crystals.
• Piezoelectric are materials that can create
electricity when subjected to a mechanical
stress.
• The word piezoelectricity means electricity
resulting from pressure.

Problem Statement
• In Pakistan the demand of electrical energy is
more than the daily energy produced so we are
facing shortfall of electricity. People use
rechargeable batteries (UPS) or diesel/petrol
engine(generators) to fulfill their demands, but
the fuel for these generators are too much
expensive.

• To overcome this issue we will use the
cheapest way to generate electrical energy
using piezoelectric material (convert
Mechanical stress into Electrical Energy).

• To produce electricity using piezoelectric sensors

• In gyms where people
can exercise and create
more power.
• In shopping malls where
people can walk and
generate power.
• In train stations because
there’s usually high
density of people, so it
can be effective.

  • 3. Introduction • The word originates from the Greek word "piezein", which means "to press". Discovered in 1880 by Pierre Curie in quartz crystals. • Piezoelectric are materials that can create electricity when subjected to a mechanical stress. • The word piezoelectricity means electricity resulting from pressure.   • 4. Problem Statement • In Pakistan the demand of electrical energy is more than the daily energy produced so we are facing shortfall of electricity. People use rechargeable batteries (UPS) or diesel/petrol engine(generators) to fulfill their demands, but the fuel for these generators are too much expensive. 4 AUIC - EED - FYP Proposal Defence Presentation
