A sustainable microgrid located roadside uses green energy to supply electric vehicles via on-road charging systems. Both stand-alone and grid-connected microgrids are used. In stand-alone mode, a bi-directional converter regulates voltage from a battery storage system. When connected to the grid, excess power can be sold and battery storage requirements reduced.
Modelling and Simulation of Grid-Connected Solar-Hydro based Hybrid Power Systemijtsrd
In this paper DC linked, grid connected solar/hydro hybrid system is modelled and simulated. A control scheme is developed for solar and hydro system for variable solar irradiance and variable load. Synchronous generator based hydro system is used to feed bulk of the power and whenever solar irradiance is available solar system along with hydro system and grid supply to the load. The performance analysis of the proposed HES and its power management strategy has been done using the simulink toolboxes of MATLAB software. The proposed system consists PV system hydro system, battery and grid. In some remote/rural areas, it is very difficult to satisfy the demand of electrical power throughout the year with the power grid. In such areas, the power requirement can be fulfilled by renewable energy system such as hydro or PV system. Either the hydro system or PV system is not capable of supplying power requirement throughout the year as both systems are intermittent. Hence, the judicious combination of hydro and PV system has been modeled for electrification. The power management strategy is modeled to manage the power flow of the energy systems to fulfill the load demand. The presented results clearly show that the proposed HES and its control strategy are suitable for implementation in remote/rural areas. The hybrid AC/DC microgrid is considered to be the more and more popular in power systems as increasing DC loads. In this study, it is presented that a hybrid AC/DC microgrid is modelled with some renewable energy sources (e.g. solar energy, wind energy), typical storage facilities (e.g. batteries), and AC, DC load, and also the power could be transformed smoothly between the AC and DC sub-grids by the bidirectional AC/DC converter. Meanwhile, coordination control strategies are proposed for power balance under various operations. In grid-connected mode, the U–Q (DC bus voltage and reactive) or PQ method is adopted for the bidirectional AC/DC converter according to the amount of exchange power between AC and DC system in order to improve the DG utilisation efficiency, protecting the converter and maintain the stable operation of the system. In islanded mode, V/F control is applied to stabilising the entire system voltage and frequency, achieving the power balance between the AC and DC systems. Finally, these control strategies are verified by simulation with the results showing that the control scheme would maintain stable operation of the hybrid AC/DC microgrid.

A lot of basic concepts, technologies and pioneering solutions aiming on very high power densities were mainly developed within the last 20 years. Sometimes this is denoted as the mechatronic system integration or simply as mechatronics. Besides many of the technical aspects, the movings within the value chain represent the great challenge in this process. This is because traditionally defined between electronic device and the power module manufacturers, electronics assemblers, and the metalworking industry will blur or slowly disappear. However, the pressure to go this path increases. If one thinks, e.g., about the hybrid drive as an upgrade option for conventional passenger cars, one is directly faced with the lack of construction space as one of the main serious problems (Alkuhayli et al., 2012).
The presentation deals with the formation of a microgrid using the critical components. The concept of distributed generation and energy storage systems are explained. Furthermore, the need for power electronics and the need for energy storage systems in the microgrid is justified. Finally, the presentation is concluded with the discussion of successfully operating microgrid.

Novel technique for hybrid electric vehicle presentation 1Manish Sadhu
Problem Summary:
Higher demand of current results an important heating of the battery, this heating will generate several consequences, firstly a reduction of lifespan of the battery and secondly a significant loss of capacity. Supercapacitors are used in series with a power battery to provide power requirement in transient state. An energy battery is placed in parallel, this battery gives the power in steady state.
Detailed Description Problem:
Modern batteries (e.g., Li-ion batteries) provide high discharge efficiency, but the rate capacity effect in these batteries drastically decreases the discharge efficiency as the load current increases. Electric double layer capacitors, or simply supercapacitors, have extremely low internal resistance, and a battery-supercapacitor hybrid may mitigate the rate capacity effect for high pulsed discharging current. However, a hybrid architecture comprising a simple parallel connection does not perform well when the supercapacitor capacity is small, which is a typical situation because of the low energy density and high cost of supercapacitors. A new battery-supercapacitor hybrid system that employs a constant-current charger. The constant current charger isolates the battery from supercapacitor to improve the end-to-end efficiency for energy from the battery to the load while accounting for the rate capacity effect of Li-ion batteries and the conversion efficiencies of the converters.
Excepted Outcome:
The supercapacitor will take an important part for the improvement of the energetic efficiency of the embarked systems and in the reduction of batteries replacement. Supercapacitor increases the performance motor at accelerated and reaccelerated mode. Also increases the life span of the battery. Indeed the supercapacitors will not be used as source of pure energy, because of their weak energy mass, but rather of complement to the battery, providing the strong demands of power. The supercapacitor solution as source of power is clearly interesting; however the cost of the kilowatt per hour remains higher than for the batteries lead-acid (approximately 30 times more) but with a weight and volume weaker.

Hybrid Electric Vehicle Charging by Solar Panel using of SupercapacitorsYogeshIJTSRD
In recent years, the demand for electric EV has increased drastically because of the rising pollution from emissions into the atmosphere in recent years. EV’s have simpler architecture, lower noise levels, better stability, and, most significantly, they safeguard the environment. Rapidly increasing population, energy consumption, and the need to reduce emissions through the conventional vehicle have motivated researchers to study the electric hybrid vehicles EHVs . In normal scenario in INDIA in electric vehicles like E cabs and E cars conventional battery is used and the real drawback of conventional batteries is that it drained out fast when used with full capacity and rechargeable is time significantly high usually 7 to 8 hours. A large number of methods have already been already proposed by various researchers that can solve the problem, however, these systems were not efficient enough for draining out the charging in EV. In order to overcome the limitation rapid discharge and slow recharge supercapacitors can be very significant solution of this problems. Using of solar panel is precure our environment which can be most important thing in this developing and growing world the use of solar in vehicle and using electric cars can be safeguard of our society and we can be free from using petroleum fuels which are limited and world can be made safer for our upcoming generations. supercapacitor used as additional energy storage for hybrid wind and photovoltaic system. It charges energy when it is windy or sunny and discharges when there is no power generated from photovoltaic or wind due to the sudden passing clouds disturbance or very low wind speed. Hence, it is necessary to understand the characteristics of the supercapacitor and determine these different electric models. The Role of Energy Storage in the Future Electricity SystemLorenzo Kristov
Energy storage at various scales can be the key to integrating large amounts of renewable generating resources into the electric power system. Growth of storage is advanced by a combination of policies and economics. Presentation for the Portuguese National Committee of CIGRE, 2017.
In recent trends, the use of electric vehicles is taking a sudden hike as they seem to be a much more friendly for the environment as compared to the conventional vehicles that run on combustion engines for a mode of transportation. With the increasing popularity of electric vehicles, the demand on the utility grid is also increasing. To overcome this problem, other alternative sources of energy need to be considered. Photovoltaic energy as the solution is finding its place in the EV charging systems. However, the total amount of energy that can be generated from the PV system is constrained, based on many parameters such as solar radiation, availability of space for Solar power plant development, maintenance of the system, etc. Hence, to maintain the continuity of the system, it needs to be integrated with the grid as well. This offers a smooth charging operation for the electric vehicles. In this paper, a new method is introduced for the integration between the solar inverter system and the utility transmission grid. Quasi-Z-source topology is proposed for the system integration. This topology facilitates a bidirectional flow of power between the PV source, the storage unit and the utility grid. The greatest advantage of this topology is its flexibility with different voltage levels of the solar inverter DC connection and the storage battery which requires no circuit alteration for charging batteries of different ratings. The hardware for the system is also fabricated. The results demonstrate that the proposed topology fits the generalized requirements.

The energy consumption of urban railway stations is very large and ever increasing. To reduce the national electrical grid consumption, the first step is optimizing the equipment size and the second step is adding other available electrical sources like the train residual braking energy. Many of local energies productions use Direct Current (DC. The actual internal station grid is in Alternative Current (AC) but the majority of the equipment has an AC/DC converter to be supplied in DC. This paper describes the project led by Efficacity Institute, which addresses the use of additional existing energies and to develop a more adapted station grid to reducing the daily energy consumption peak. One Efficacity energetic concept aims to store the braking energy of the trains with a stationary electrical saving system. This energy is integrated to the power supply of a railway station thanks to a micro grid. First step of this micro grid are studied in this paper to develop the more adapted grid structure

CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!
Work done in cooperation with James Malloy and David Moelling from Tetra Engineering.

Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.

charging of electric vehicles.
Green energy is used to supply the
sustainable micro grid.
Both a stand-alone and a grid-connected
micro grid are used.
4. The trend in transport nowadays is a
transition from petrol-fueled mobility to
electric mobility.
The main drawbacks is that electric vehicles
have in comparison with conventional vehicle
are the limited driving range and battery.
The design of on-road charging systems in
order to extend the driving range and
decrease the EV battery size .
5. (CPT)refers to a system where power can be
transferred electro-magnetically with no
physical contact.
9. In the stand-alone mode of operation, the
storage system apart from providing power
balance is also responsible for providing
voltage regulation at the DC bus.
A converter is used for these purposes, which
has to be bi-directional for power flow to or
from the battery during charging or
discharging respectively
10. In case a connection to the grid is
established, then the storage can become
smaller and the excess power produced can
be sold to the grid
