There are 5 potential essay topics that could be asked about for an exam: genre, narrative, representation, audience, and media language. Students will have the opportunity to prepare essays on each topic in advance and should learn their essays, as they will only have 30 minutes to answer one randomly selected question worth 25 marks. Students must also confidently apply 5-6 media theories to their own work in each essay.

You will have a chance to prepare an essay on each topic area before the exam,
so it is a case of LEARNING your essays.
You have 30 minutes to answer this question. 25 marks are available.

5. Media Language
You also have to learn and apply Media Theories to your own work confidently.
5/6 theories will be sufficient for each essay.
