In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products ? Locations- we decided that our characters should have conflicting locations, the girl was from the city and the boy was a country boy/farmer type. Most films we deconstructed, the ‘love’ couple were both from the city either rich or middle class, or at least had similar backgrounds. However we show that they are from two different background in the film but filming in the city areas and country/forests. http://01whhs12b2.blogspot.com/2009/10/ideas-for-location-number-3.html, http://01whhs12b2.blogspot.com/2009/09/ideas-for-location-number-2.html, http://01whhs12b2.blogspot.com/2009/09/ideas-of-location-number-1.html. Plot- The plot of most romantic comedy films is usually a man and woman meet, part due to problems or some sort of obstacles and them ultimately united. Ours however is the typical boy meets girl but with a twist of them not knowing they love each other, despite their conflicting backgrounds. Characters- We used characters that would be a typical of each of their backgrounds. For example the typical ‘city girl’ would be Dressed in designer wear or high-street fashionsVery fashionableBusiness-mindedEtc. And for George it would be;Dressing in very casual attire e.g. Checked shirts or t-shirts and jeans. Doing manual/labour work. Etc.
