This document evaluates a media project involving a teaser trailer for a romantic comedy film. It discusses how the project challenged conventions in its use of conflicting character backgrounds (city girl and country boy), plot structure (characters not realizing they love each other despite differences), and original soundtrack. Feedback from an audience helped the creators understand preferences and expectations around genre and character types. A variety of new media technologies were used in researching, planning, constructing, and evaluating the project, including the internet, YouTube, video/still cameras, iMovie, and Garageband.
