As the title said, this is a little side project of mine about the story of Islam in Indonesia. This is done in a very short time, I'm not very satisfied with the result, but I want to upload it just the way it is as a personal reminder to do better in the future and prepare more.

Since Islam originated and has developed in an Arab culture, other cultures which have adopted Islam have tended to be influenced by Arab customs. Thus Arab Muslim societies and other Muslims have cultural affinities, though every society has preserved its distinguishing characteristics. Islamic culture inherited an Arab culture born in the desert, simple but by no means simplistic. It has an oral tradition based on the transmission of culture through poetry and narrative. However, it has been the written record that has had the greatest impact on civilization. Islam civilization is based on the value of education, which both the Qur'an and the Prophet stressed.
One of the distinctive features of the Islamic tradition is its rapid expansion into a large and diverse civilization, soon becoming divided into several centers of political authority. Although the Prophet’s activities were mostly limited to the Arabian Peninsula and the Levant, after his death the first four “Rightly Guided” caliphs sent armies to conquer Syria, Egypt, Iraq and parts of Persia, which were then within the declining Byzantine and Persian empires.
Its about importance and significance of Islamic Civilization, Social and Moral influence of Islamic civilization, Clash of civilization ,causes & influence of Clash of civilization and Causes of Clash of Civilization... A detailed informative PDF from which u can get enough info..

Spreading Cultures in China and Southeast Asia.pptChhayaRajeev
GRADE 7 UAE SST
How was culture spread in China?
Belief systems that came from outside China were spread mostly via trade and diplomatic exchange, and almost all of them have been assimilated into Chinese culture. There is a mutual influence in China between the development of traditions and beliefs and the advances in technology and production.
How did Indian culture spread in China?
Thereafter Indian missionaries as well as Chinese scholars translated Buddhist scriptures and other writings into Chinese. Indian missionaries not only preached a new faith but also brought in new cultural influences. Indian mathematics and astronomical ideas enriched Chinese knowledge in these fields.
Where did China get its culture from?
Chinese have traditionally believed that the Huaxia tribe originated Chinese culture. Ancient texts say that the Huaxia lived in the Central Plain near Beijing hundreds of years before the Shang Dynasty (1600–1046 BC) started and spread westwards and southwards along the Yellow River basin.
How did Islam spread to Southeast Asia?
Muslim merchants from the Arabian Peninsula had to pass through these islands of the south via the maritime Silk Roads to reach China's ports. In addition, according to historical accounts, Muslim traders came to the Indonesian islands because of the rare spices present there.
What is the cultural history of China?
China — History and Culture
China is arguably the cradle of Asian civilization, as evidence of human settlements along the Yellow River Valley date back thousands of years. Early China was dominated by feudal lords and warring areas, including the Shang and Zhou dynasties, which were among the most famous early rulers of China.

The Sailendra and Mataram dynasties in Central Java built notable monuments like Borobudur and Prambanan.
Arrival of Islam and the Sultanates:
Islam spread to Indonesia in the 13th century, primarily through Arab and Indian traders.
The Sultanate of Malacca, established in the 15th century, became an important center for Islam and trade.
Islamic sultanates, including Demak, Aceh, Mataram, and Banten, emerged, blending local customs with Islamic teachings.
The sultanates played a significant role in regional politics, trade, and the spread of Islam across the archipelago.
European Colonialism:
The Portuguese arrived in the Indonesian archipelago in the late 15th century, seeking control of the spice trade.
The Dutch East India Company (VOC) gained prominence in the 17th century and established colonial control over several Indonesian regions.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

in Indonesia used a lot
of compromise. Having
entered a society with a
previous strong beliefs
(Hindu, Buddha,
animism), teachers of
Islam at that time
incorporate the local
traditional culture, habit,
and rituals to their
teaching of Islam

37. The Vereenigde Oost-Indische
Compagnie, VOC, was a chartered
company established in 1602. VOC
had a presence in the Indonesian
archipelago from 1603, when the first
trading post was established. The
first permanent Dutch trading post in
Indonesia was established in Banten,
northwest Java and in 1611, another
was established at Jayakarta
38. The position of Indonesian Muslim in
this era can be described in two
phases.
The initial phase was more
accommodating. The VOC respected
and facilitated the Muslim activities.
This can be because they are trying
to be accepted by the local people
since they have just arrived in
Indonesia.
39. After the VOC was replaced by the establishment
of Dutch colonial, the policy had become more
repressive. The social and political activities is
strictly controlled

of struggle for independence
all across Indonesia
50. On August 17th 1945,
Indonesia declared its Independence
51. The Indonesian leader opted to
use liberal democracy as the
national ideology. At the early of
the Independence, many Islamic
leader tried to make Islam as the

the majority of the population is
Muslim, but it never succeed
53. Under President Soeharto’s regime,
the political activities are heavily
supervised, but the religious
activities, rituals, and ceremonies are
being facilitated.
President Soeharto
Presidential term: March 12, 1967
– May 21, 1998
54. Under President Soeharto’s too that
“The Council of Indonesia Muslim
Scholar” (Majelis Ulama Indonesia)
was formed. It facilitated the Muslim
leaders and scholars. The

power, it was the reformation era. In
this era, lots of new political parties,
and some of them are Islamic
political parties.
President Habibie
Presidential term: 21 May 1998 –
20 October 1999
56. Even though the majority of the population is Muslim,
the Islam-based party did not win the election at that
time, with most of the population opted to choose a
nationalist-based party
57. Islam in Indonesia have its ups and downs. With majority
of the population is now Muslim, it has become a really
conducive and peaceful place for Muslim to practice
their religion
58.
59. Even so, Indonesian Muslim lives hand in hand with
other religion in a peaceful manner. Having a high
tolerance and respect between one and another
