The Josie King story is truly unimaginable. I wish I could review her chart to better understand
how she fell through the cracks. It seems hard to believe that the signs of increasing dehydration
went unnoticed or even worse, were viewed as normal . Even more difficult to believe is that the
nurses were unable to create a partnership with the mother. In the story, it seems as if the mom was
dismissed as a partner in the process and felt as if no one was listening to her. Although a family
member may not have the medical knowledge a nursehas, they have knowledge of their child and
that is lost without their help. What would have happened if the nurse spent a moment to
understand where Josie s mother was coming from or called the doctor to communicate her
symptoms? Did she truly believe her symptoms were normal or was she too busy with
something else? It shouldn t be possible to have a child be NPO without IV fluids running.
While it takes children a long time to stop compensating, I m sure there were signs of
dehydration. During a bath, the mom notes how furiously Josie was sucking on a wet washcloth.
If it was known that she was not drinking, how could these signs have been missed? It seems as
though a total breakdown in obvious behavior and team communication is evident. The care
delivery model failed to keep Josie safe. The nurse or team assigned seemed to lack knowledge of

The client, Julie*, called into the Crisis Center Hotline looking for immediate shelter for herself
and her two young children. At that time, our shelter was not full and therefore had space for the
mother and her children. I went through the procedural routine of making sure that she was not in
the center s blue books, a record of clients not allowed to receive shelter and/or services, and
seeing if she had an alpha card already completed, this would mean that she was a previous client at
the shelterand already had a file. Julie* did was not found in either source. At that point, I began
to complete the shelter intake paperwork with her over the phone. The first two pages of the
intake are completed first with the client. These pages find out more about the client s
demographics, her current physical and mental health state, how many children she has and if
she could be pregnant at the time, her abuser s demographics, and the presenting primary abuse
occurring. I completed these two pages with Julie* and then from that point an approval staff
member will tell you if you can complete the rest of the intake or tell the client that at the time

Life has to be given a meaning because of the obvious fact that it has no meaning. Henry Miller
The outsider also commonly known as The Stranger is written by Albert Camus. It is a book that
explores the many concepts, understandings and overall idea of human life. As my group and I
take time to break down the varies aspects of the book, please take time to reflect, and understand
your own meaning of human life.
Symbols
Symbolism is often used to represent something of a close association or resemblance to an object
or thing. In the outsider the symbols present aren t really obvious, they are things that you put
together as the book goes along.
The first and most important symbol in the book is the sun. It is often seen to be a symbol of life,
power, strength and energy. But in the outsider is used to symbolize something else. The sun is the
indicator to Meursault s emotions and actions. He is constantly referring to the sun and using it in
a way to express how he is feeling. And what with the sun and the smell of leather and horse dung
from the hearse, and the smell of vanish and incense and the sleepless night I d had, I was so tired

In this short paper I will go over my thoughts on this week s assigned course reading. This week
we were instructed to read Chapter Four of the FTA 215 course text. This chapter covered Tools,
Maintenance, and Repair of the AR 15 platform rifle.
In the beginning of this chapter it was explained to us that Whether you are just interested in
performing maintenance on your AR 15 style rifle, or want to build one from components, you ll
need some basic tools. At this point in the game I probably wouldn t panic if I needed to work on
my AR 10... but I definitely still need platform specific tools. I can t wait to get AR specific tools
for our future build. The author then went on to explain to us that the basic list of tools that we
should have on hand to work on an AR 15 platform rifle are as follows Ball peen hammer, Nylon
/brass hammer, Bit driver screwdriver, Torx bit set, Hex bit set, Flat head bits, Phillips head bits,
Needle nose pliers, Lower receiver vise block, Upper receiver vise block set, and a Rifle bench
block... as well as a few other tools. I already have most of those things, but as stated before there
are a few things I still need to acquire.

My View On The Existence Of God
It was the night before the last day of our Faith Reason class and I had previously been tasked
with finding a specific topic to argue for. I decided to cover the idea of my own faith and how it
copes with the multiple viewpoints varying from atheists, theists, and the Bible as well as the
opinions on reason and the very existence of God. Within this paper, I will explain why my faithis
eternal and no matter how much evidence there is against the existence of God, my conviction
that there is a supreme being who oversees all that goes on in this world, will continue to avail.
The first reading that really drew my attention was Flew s example of the gardener and the
believer s stance that the gardener existed. This triggered my thoughts to relate that case to my own
faith and how I am able to retain my beliefthat God exists, against the deposition that he does not.
No matter how many tests the Sceptic requested to prove that there was a gardener, the Believer
maintained his faith until his belief that there was a gardener was basically useless. Flew
