Presentation by Martin Etzrodt, Akasha Foundation - Collaborative ResearchDayOne
Tackling the healthcare innovation chasm at its very root is the mission pursued by Martin Etzrodt from Akasha foundation. His big idea is to rethink science by changing the way knowledge is produced, through a decentralized platform incentivising sharing and collaboration.

Today's network, the internet, has already shown itself to be the agent of great change. In this talk I'm going to look at some of the new ways politics is coming to ordinary people and some of the incredible opportunities for the future. We have the potential to re-imagine the very core of our democratic system - but how can we do this without leaving people behind?
This talk was given at Pycon UK 07. It's actually a thin wrapper around the

Social Networking & Microblogging For MuseumsTristan Denmark
This slide show serves an an introduction and quick overview to my Web 2.0 article with the same title. It briefly discusses social networking and microblogging, their benefits to a museum, and how to integrate them into an organization.
A lot of talk about the future of the internet sounds almost hippie-spiritual or faux-philosophical. The Internet is not the same as the world-wide-web. But the Internet-of-Things and the Semantic Web - all parts of Web 3.0, are beginning to be very important to our learning environments. Here is a summary of key features, ranging from access, creativity, and information architecture.
I gave this talk at the 2009 Association of Subscription Agents. It describes the concept of technology waves, and how we are at the start of the semantic web waves. The presentation describes two projects Talis is undertaking with scholarly content around the semantic web - a society social networking prototype called Xiphos Network and a product called Talis Aspire to deliver eContent to end users via scholarly resource lists.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

4. This is not a revolution “ Web 1.0 was all about connecting people. It was an interactive space, and I think Web 2.0 is of course a piece of jargon, nobody even knows what it means. If Web 2.0 for you is blogs and wikis, then that is people to people. But that was what the Web was supposed to be all along.” ~ developerWorks Interviews: Tim Berners-Lee Originator of the Web and director of the World Wide Web Consortium talks about where we've come, and about the challenges and opportunities ahead recorded 7-28-2006, http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/podcast/dwi/cm-int082206.txt

However well-presented it may be, our users will scorn any 2.0 library application that does not either make their lives easier or reduce the time they spend finding the information they need” ~ Tony McSean.
