Hygienic Practices
Community based primary health care 
Community Health Workers (CHWs) in its target areas in various slum areas of Karachi. 
These trained community health workers regularly visit each household in the area and 
provide basic health facilities like immunization to women and children, antenatal and 
postnatal checkups at their doorsteps. These CHWs are trained in following: 
Immunization / Vaccination 
Diarrhea 
Sanitation And Personnel Hygiene 
Antenatal And Postnatal Care 
Child Development and Growth Monitoring Skills 
Nutrition 
Infant and young child nutrition (IYCF) 
Maternal Nutrition 
Communication Skills 
Record Keeping 
Care Of Newborn
Health Education 
Health education is 
provided through women 
support groups and at

Future project 
Purifier of Water Distribution: 
EHF will have signed a distributorship agreement with Procter & 
Gamble Company (P&G) for the latter's brand of water purification 
system. 
Purified water will extensively used for providing safe drinking water 
to affected people in disaster zones.
Primary health care centre 
EHF Will establish three PHC centres in lyari townin karachi. These 
centers provide primary health care, treatment of common illnesses, 
immunization of children under 5 and women of reproductive ages, 
health education and growth monitoring of children.
Coordinating aid to the health sector
Articles of the NGO Code of Conduct for Health Systems Strengthening 
NGOs will engage in hiring practices that ensure long-term health system sustainability. 
NGOs will enact employee compensation practices that strengthen the public sector. 
NGOs pledge to create and maintain human resources training and support systems that are good 
for the countries where they work. 
NGOs will minimize the NGO management burden for ministries. 
NGOs will support Ministries of Health as they engage with communities. 
NGOs will advocate for policies that promote and support the public sector.
Monitoring 
We regularly check children for key developmental 
parameters and sensitize communities on the importance of 
adequate nutrition and care. 
 We ensure that all children are provided with the 
required immunizations, nutritional supplements and de-worming.
