4. HISTORY OF COCONUT TREE
Coconut trees are thought to have
originated in South America and have
been cultivated for thousands of
years BC around the Andes Valley in
Colombia.
Meanwhile, another opinion reveals
that the coconut tree comes from
South Asia or the Pacific.
In the Philippines and Sri Lanka, it
has been found since 300 BC, and in
India, it has been known since 3000
years ago.

nucifera.
