What is the relationship between Christ and His disciples? In what ways are we dependent on Him? What are practical lessons to be learned from our Lord's metaphor?

Mt 13:15 For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.'
Rom 8:5-8 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
Tomorrow we are starting a new series of study:
“The New Man” is a seminar that will focus on the spirit of man, its soul and its body.
We will learn the properties of each one of these three parts of man.
Our spirit is called to be the ruling part of us, actually, our spirit is the main part of our being, and is the place where the spirit of God dwells in.
We meet in Room #3 at CTF Toronto Wednesdays from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. I invite you to come and participate with us in this discovery of how to let our spirit become the ruler of our life.
it is impossible for us , being a human to be satisfied while we are in our physical life! King Solomon the wisest and the richest king said "everything is vanity". this message tells us that we can experience satisfaction through the presence God. therefore let us aim and aspire His presence above all things. God bless!
In Ephesians 6:1-4 Paul gives excellent advice how how children are to respond to their parents, but also how parents should raise their children. This is a great study to use in small groups with parents. Download the PowerPoint presentation at www.Bibleguy.org
“Being used by God
is not confined to pastors, preachers or teachers. Anybody can be an instrument
in God's hands.”
God can use anybody, believer or nonbeliever.

Taking care of your soul. A transformation of our conscience, reason, imagination, mind, emotions, choice and will is absolutely necessary to be aligned with the renewed Spirit that is already in us. In order to attain this, the Holy Spirit needs to be in control, bringing a complete renewal.
Atheism is on the rise in America. There is nothing worse than living without hope , yet there are many who choose a belief system that offers no hope , no purpose , no value or meaning to the believer's life. Faith is a fragile thing. If you’re looking for reasons not to believe, they’re all around us. War. Poverty. Disease. Famine. Suffering. Tragedy.
The list goes on. .. But the faith it takes to believe in nothing is much more exhausting than the simple faith God requires ... Aren't you tired yet?
We hope to see you as we try to get to the "Heart of the Matter" regarding Atheism.
The 4,000 Year HinduCalvinism Delusion Calvinists at War - Christians at Rest...Jeremy Richard
Calvinism. Reformed Theology. Hard Determinism. This is the major cancer in Protestant Christianity that many a Theologian have tried to combat but with very little success. Reformed Churches are exploding. Reformed Pastors are infiltrating churches and taking them over, satisfied if half the congregation leaves after their Calvinism is brought into the light since that still leaves them with the business organization and in charge. Calvinist board members are secretly recruiting these seminary-trained Pastors behind the backs of other board members and by the time the people of the church find out, it is too late.
Why is Augustine a hero to both the Roman Catholic Church and the Reformers? There was a huge, dangling thread on the sweater that the Church was wearing. That thread was pulled during the research which caused three more threads to be exposed and each time a thread was pulled more threads would show themselves until the entire sweater began to unravel to reveal the nightmare underneath. The answers that were found during this dig through history and the biblical texts will absolutely shock you as 1,600 year old truths will be revealed from under the Gnostic grime.
Christians tend to think that Calvinism only affects Calvinists and as long as they believe their nonsense over there then it doesn't affect them. But this mistaken view couldn't be more in error. HinduCalvinism affects almost everything you think you know about the bible and there is almost no subject in the biblical text that is untouched or unaffected.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, Thought-Provoking and Important Book!
Reviewed in the United States on October 24, 2022
Buy it, read it. Then read it again. This book is not only a must-read for anyone coming out of Calvinism, but is also important for any Christian who is in a church.
For me, even just this first section of the book was amazing! If Calvinist doctrines have harmed the faith of yourself or someone you love, understanding its errors is the first step toward healing and renewed growth. As a parent, understanding the subversive infiltration of Calvinist teachings into Christian thought is the best way to inoculate your children against falling prey to its heresies.
But there is so much more to this book than just providing the reader with a solid defense against Calvinism. This book will turn everything you thought you knew upside down, from your perception of yourself to your conception of the Creator.
This is an excellent, important book, and I highly recommend it.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…
The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.
2. Objective of Lesson
1. To challenge us to guard our hearts
(minds)!
2. To show how the carnal mind thinks.
3. To show an example of a carnal mind.
4. To show how opposed God is to the
carnal mind
3. The heart
Proverbs 4:23
• Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life
(ESV)
• Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the
springs of life (NASB).
• Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life
(KJV).
• Guard your heart above all else, for it is the source of life (CSB).
4. Carnal mind defined
• Pertaining to or characterized by the
flesh or the body, its passions and
appetites; sensual: carnal pleasures.
• Not spiritual; merely human; temporal;
worldly: a man of secular, rather
carnal, leanings.
5. Carnal mind
• Romans 8:6-7 For to be carnally minded is death; but
to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the
carnal mind is enmity (hostile) against God: for it is not
subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
• 1 Corinthians 2:14 The natural person does not accept
the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him,
and he is not able to understand them because they are
spiritually discerned.
6. Carnal Mind
• Ecclesiastes 2 …turn with me please….
• Note verses 7-8
• The pleasures that tempt and allure humanity are
remarkably similar across 1000’s of years! In our modern
secular Western society so many people desire such
things as:
• Material wealth, a sports personality or music celebrity
lifestyle, and so often unrestrained sexual pleasure. Think
about our current political state. A lot is driven by sensual
pleasures!
7. Christian and Carnal?
• Can a person be a Christian and still
carnal?
• 1 Corinthians 3 …turn with me please…
• Acts 8 …turn with me please…
• Galatians 2 …turn with me please…
8. Christians & carnal minds!
• What is the least that I can do and not be lost? (Romans 9)
• Sunday and Wednesday Bible study with the saints is not
commanded from God! Those that attend are not any better
off than those that don’t! (Philippians 2:25-30)
• So long as I take communion on Sunday, I am fine (Acts
2:44-47)
• I don’t do x, y, or z or so I am a good person. (Acts 10:38)
• Selfish and inconsiderate of others labors and effort for our
own souls. (2 Corinthians 11:21 & following)
9. Christians & carnal minds!
• It is okay to miss worship service for recreational purposes.
Just do not make it a habit. (Psalm 122:1)
• Spend all my money on self and offer to God leftovers. The
only sacrifice that is desired, is of others. (Malachi 1:6-14)
• Does not believe that their talk or dress should be any
different from the world. (James 3; Proverbs 31:25)
• A mindset that thinks like this is totally opposite of God!
