The document discusses the mission and vision of UESI, which is an organization that seeks to evangelize students in India and nurture them as disciples of Jesus Christ. It then shares about a theme of calling to prayer and encourages readers to take prayer seriously and make it a daily discipline. Several testimonies from students are included that discuss their encounters with God and experiences in UESI. The newsletter highlights a recent IBS workshop conducted by Vadodara ICEU and shares positive feedback from participants. It introduces the Vadodara ICEU Lighthouse newsletter and lists the team involved.
Something that I learned through this project is that there are many details that go into creating a brand, in order to help someone completely understand a brand you have to provide them with where it started, where it is, and where it is going. It is also important to tell the consumer what inspired this brand, I personally love learning about where a product came from.

Raising Godly children - United Faith Church Barnegat New Jersey led by Pastor Jerry and Pastor Janeth Santiago.
God expresses His immense love and concern for children in His Word and commands that children should be taught His promises, instructed in the Word, and raised in His love. United Faith Church trusts that God desires good things for His children and wants a relationship with them to bestow His promises upon them, equip them to do His will and to demonstrate His glory and power in their lives. When children develop a relationship with God early on, they learn to know and trust Him, make choices in accordance with His Word, and grow to be confident of His love for them.

Although COVETING is a sinful thought, it is still a very serious sin, as coveting can lead to all the other sins, including murder, theft, and adultery.
If you love your neighbor as yourself, you will want the best for your neighbor, you will not be angry if he has something you do not, if your neighbor is more fortunate than you, if your neighbor is wealthier than you; rather, you will rejoice in your neighbor’s good fortune. Envy and covetousness is a dangerous sin, it leads to all the other sins, before you steal, before you adulter, before you murder, you covet. Envy is the enemy of friendship. Envy is a sin of your thoughts, that leads to a sin of your words, and ultimately leads to sins of commission, the sins of orneriness, theft, adultery, and murder.
These biblical stories demonstrate how envy can lead to all the other sins:
• David and Bathsheba
• Cain and Abel
• Adam and Eve are tempted by the serpent Satan
We are inspired by the teachings of the Eastern Church Fathers and other writings:

I remember when I was first getting into ministry a mentor of mine told me that the chief responsibility of any minister was first and foremost to teach people how to pray. At the time I thought that was odd. I had always assumed that ministry was more about preaching sermons, organizing worship, meeting with people in need, and studding the Bible.
However, as time has gone on I have realized more and more that there was a lot of truth in that statement. As people learn to pray they are able to encounter God in profoundly personal ways. One who prays does not only know God through the words of the preacher, or the lessons of the teacher, they know God through their own encounters with Him.
Prayer is a central part of the Christian life and helping people to learn how to pray a ministry that all baptized people are called to participate in. In teaching people how to pray we are joining in the ministry of Christ, who taught his disciples to pray bu giving them the "Our Father."
But how DOES one teach others to pray?
There is no single method that works. No two people are alike. My two year old prays quite a bit differently then the High School students I used to teach about prayer, and I pray differently then both. People pray differently at different points in their lives and at different stages of development. Not only that but there are hundreds of methods, and none of them work well with everyone. I know in my own life my prayer methods have changed many many times.
How then are we to teach others to pray?
I don't have the final answer on this one, but I have picked up a few tricks here and there. Here are 10 tips that I have picked up over the years.

14. THE PLEASURE OF PRAYER Based on Psalm 84:8
“‘Be thankful’ (Colossians 3:15) is a recurring exhortation in the letters of the apostle Paul. No other New Testament writer gives such a sustained emphasis on thanksgiving―and yet, major modern studies of Paul fail to wrestle with it. Dr. Paul Allieu Kamara aims to rehabilitate this theme in this comprehensive and accessible study, a New Studies in Biblical Theology volume. He shows how, for Paul, thanksgiving is grounded in the covenantal traditions of salvation history. To offer thanks to God is to live a life of worship and to anticipate the future acts of God, all in submission to the lordship of Christ. Ingratitude to God is idolatry. Thanksgiving functions as a link between theology, including eschatology, and ethics. Here Dr. Paul Allieu Kamara provides clear insights into the passion of an apostle who never fails to insist on the significance of both the gospel message and the response this message demands. Addressing key issues in biblical theology, the works comprising New Studies in Biblical Theology are creative attempts to help Christians better understanding their Bibles. The NSBT series is edited by D. A. Carson, aiming to simultaneously instruct and to edify, to interact with current scholarship and to point the way ahead.”
After a short reflection of last week's series of meeting with a visiting evangelist, I talked about two points from Genesis that could strengthen us all to trust God more and thank Him more for His beautiful Fatherly care of us--even when many things seems to be going wrong. The story about Pastor Yonggi Cho is worth remembering in all our trials.
Here are some valuable examples and teachings from the Bible and from the lives of others about how God wants to partner with us to do His will on earth.

Believing Prayer - We Christians need to show a WORLD IN GREAT NEED that God is meeting OUR needs, working in OUR lives in a supernatural way, and doing "impossible" things on a regular basis in OUR lives. Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

A call to Prayer
2. Yes my Friend! Today what I want
to share and say is about "The
Prayer". My friends, many of us
know that what is prayer and
importance of prayer, but are we
really aware of it? Or in other
words are we really practicing in
our day to day life or in our
personal life? My friends, this is a
personal and open Question for our
self and to think once about it.
My dear friends, prayer is power, prayer
is a connection, prayer is a conversation
and prayer is a convenant with the
living God. Can our spiritual life sustain
without prayer? Can we win the battle of
our life without prayer? My friends, the
answer is no! We have to put the
practice of prayer in our personal life
very seriously! Very importantly! Even
we can see in the Bible from the life of
Daniel and Our saviour Jesus Christ that
they had never left praying to God in
any moment. So today what we have to
do is to plug ourselves into Prayer to get
Power to monetize our spiritual life.
Joint ourselves in prayer to revive our
self for the battle field.
What are we praying? To whom we are
praying? What should be our prayers?
How it should be presented in front of
God? All this is important to
understand in prayerful life. Let’s
remember all this point and come near
to God, let’s make a routine of prayer
to come near to God. Let our prayer life
may become discipline in front of God.
It’s time to connect with God, it’s time
to talk with God, it’s time to have
conversation with God. Let us plug-in
permantely with the master so that we
may never be apart or detached with
the connection of God
- Jigal Pal
3. HOW I BECAME DISCIPLE...
Krupa Christi
Hi Krupa, when and how did you have an encounter with the Lord?
When i was in high school, i studied in a Concept school surrounded completely by non-
believers and non-christians. After i completed my 12th in 2018, i was invited in a Gospel
Retreat by one of my local EU friend. Before that, being born in a Christian family, i was much
aware of certain things. But the Gospel Retreat somehow brought me a life changing
experience through John 5:24. I really saw my whole journey, what in actual person i was and
on contrary what the purpose of my life was. I realised how sinful i was and my life, i got a
drastic change and got committed to god through His peaceful salvation.
Describe your personal relation with God.
My personal relation with God is like a father continuously drawing up his child from the pit of
destruction as in Psalms 40:1,2. I could say that the Bible speaks. God in it, provides me wisdom and the ways
of living my life. I talk with Him everywhere I go, His word, prayers, worshiping and adoring Him brought me
so intimate to Him that I hear and feel His voice. He makes my steps secure. He is the king of
my heart and He rules over it.
4. What are your most cherished memories with UESI that has made a deep impact over your life ?
Well, from the day i was engaged with UESI, each day from then was cherishing. The camps, the Bible studies, the fellowship,
every patterns of the ministry lifted me up in God. They provided me a platform to know, interact with God more which is still
intact. Getting myself involved completely into God's will and His word through continuous preaching by His servants, is what
made me a different person known by the identity of God today. UESI completely proved to be a medium between me and God,
ultimately saving my life.
Describe your experience about faithfulness of God.
If I go on describing His faithfulness in my life and how just He is, i will lack words to describe it. Despite i would like to share
that a girl completely driven away by the devil, God held my hand and pushed me out of the dirt. I was so much flawed and I
am, but he brings out the best for me everyday. He was faithful even when I hadn't accepted Him. His forgiveness, His
compassion never failed each single day. He is faithful because His kindness towards me never ceased. He loved me when I
couldn't love myself. He strengthened me, He anchored me and protected me. It is only through His faithfulness that i could
live today.
Any advice for students?
Galatians 2:20 says I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body,
I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. My dear ones, I could feel every single thought of Paul
besides writing this words. Let each one of you, let the person inside you die, crucify yourself with Him and give Him the glory
to live in you. Don't you think He is worth worth worth deserving that! The day we do that, we could togetherly say just like
Paul that "I ENDED MY BATTLE WELL". Let us each end this journey well by knowing Him more through His word everyday. I
suggest all to involve yourself digging the Bible and in Prayers everyday. "You must want what He wants".
5. By God’s grace the Vadodara ICEU was able to conduct a
2-day IBS Workshop in collaboration with Nadiad ICEU.
The workshop was conducted on Google Meet platform.
The sessions were wonderfully taken by Preeti
Khristmukti Didi. In attendance we had almost 10
students from Vadodara, who were encouraged to study
the Bible more meaningfully and deeply. Interactive
games before the session helped the students to be
prepared and creatively understand the steps of IBS. We
are thankful to God for preparing a way for such a
workshop to be conducted specifically for the local
students. It was endearing to see the kind of response
from the participants and it was a blessed time for the
committee to prepare and plan for it. We are grateful to
the prayer secretaries who prepared a wonderful prayer
letter and organized a prayer time and for the student
leaders who took
responsibility for leading the sessions, contacting
students and for providing technical support. It is only
because of God’s grace and guidance that the workshop
was successful. We continue to have a follow-up of the
students and motivate them to take time and meditate
on God’s word. We hope and pray to see the fruits of
this workshop in the personal life of the students and
in their EU’s. May God’s name be glorified.
In Christ!
Let's hear the experience of participants:
Silviya Christian - IBS workshop was so good for me,
I enjoyed it and all the sessions were well organized
