This document discusses the past, present, and future of Cox Library. In the past, the library had a print collection and databases on CD-ROM with solo study and desktop computers. Currently, there is an online collection and print/digital references with some study space and collaborative work. In the future, the library envisions 24/7 access to embedded librarians who would collaboratively create resource guides and provide research assistance to support student and teacher needs. The goal is to ensure students learn information literacy skills rather than just act as subject specialists.

Our journey from library to iCentre does not involve a brand new building, it involves
transformed culture, services and spaces. This is very much a story of trial and error
and we don’t claim that we have found a model that will work for every school and
every library - what we do hope is that we can share ideas and something we have
