Treehouse Eyes is a new company that takes a different approach to treating myopia (nearsightedness) in children. The prevalence of myopia in children has increased 66% over the past 30 years, and is projected to affect over 30 million children by 2050 due to increased screen time and less outdoor activity. Treehouse Eyes offers non-invasive treatment protocols to slow the progression of myopia and provide children with better vision long-term. They plan to open kid-friendly treatment centers that feel unlike a typical doctor's office, with locations scheduled around a child's busy schedule. The first two centers will open this summer in Bethesda, Maryland and Tysons Corner, Virginia.
