intercepts to graph the equation.
First find the y-intercept.
y = 1.5x + (–9)
b = –9
Write the equation in the form y = mx + b.

0 = 1.5x – 9
Graph the points (6, 0)
and (0, –9) on a coordinate
plane.
Write the equation. Let y = 0.
