7. Consideration of rules
and regulations and media
institutes and why?
Do you need to consider rules by ASA or
OFCOM? How do your products fit their
codes?
 I have looked over the rules set out by both ASA and
OFCOM and I think my products all abide by the rules.
 I do not see where my products could have gone against
this code which is good as it means that they are legal and
ok to be released.
 My products do not involve anything that could be taken
as offensive or harmful to the target audience, or anyone
therefor it would be allowed to be shown.
Where would we see your products?
 Around school corridors – School is where teenagers spend most of their time
during the week so since they are our target audience, this would be a good
place to put the posters since the teenagers will see them alot
 In computer containing libraries – the posters would be placed around the
computer area therefor if someone regularly commits copyright theft, then
reading the posters may make them think twice while doing it. Having them
around the computers is also good as they may read the posters while waiting for
the computer to load. Also teenagers aged 15-17 which is our target audience have
to do a lot of work for exams so they may often be in the library so will see the
posters frequently
Where would we see your products?
 In shopping centres – Many teenage girls spend a great deal of time in shopping
centres such as Westfield. By putting the posters here the girls would see them as
they are walking around. The poster would only be placed around shops such as
Topshop, Newlook, H&M and Primark since these are all targeted at
teenagers/young adults.
Where would we see your products?
 Social media – since teenagers now days spend so much time on social media,
links to our website will be advertised on all of these pages. This way the
target audience will defiantly see the links and may have a look on our
website.
