This document describes the design and construction of a low-cost propeller LED display. It uses the principle of persistence of vision to display messages using only 7 LEDs, instead of the 525 LEDs normally required. A microcontroller rotates the LEDs mechanically to produce the appearance of a full display. Hardware includes the microcontroller, LED module, DC motor, interrupter module, and mechanical assembly to rotate the components. Software uses interrupts to synchronize the LED flashing with motor position. Testing showed the motor achieves 1980 RPM, and the display successfully showed patterns like letters and numbers. The system provides an affordable option for large public information displays.

This project is a special kind of circular LED display. With the help some mechanical assembly, LED count, hardware requirement, and hence overall cost is cut to very affordable price. Also, maintenance and repairing of the display is so easy, that anyone having a little electronics knowledge, can take care of this. All the synchronizing can be implemented through software.
First of its kind, made using the 20 pin dip AT mega 16 series microcontroller, this project use the principle of Space Multiplexing. This propeller display is mechanically scanned and displays the characters in digital format. Made from scrap it can be used anywhere and everywhere and the most amazing fact about this display is its crystal clear display. This display consists of just 8 bright LEDs which are rotated to show the display.
Our project is a persistence of vision display (POV) that spins 360 degrees horizontally. The purpose of our POV display project is to create a small apparatus that will create a visual using only a small number of LEDs as it spins in a circle. When the LEDs rotate several times around a point in less than a second, the human eye reaches its limit of motion perception and creates an illusion of a continuous image. Therefore, our POV display demonstrates this phenomenon by creating a visual as the LEDs spin rapidly in a circle and the person watching will see one continuous image.
This paper explains the project which is a special kind of circular rotating 8 LED display. This display can show the messages, which will require a whopping 525 LEDs. So hardware and cost minimization is achieved and power which is required to run the 525 is also saved by using rotating 8 led display.

This paper explains the project which includes design and fabrication of a display based on Persistence of
vision. The objective of the project is to create virtual display in air. A class of display device described as
"POV" is one that composes an image by displaying one spatial portion at a time in rapid succession (for
example, one column of pixels every few milliseconds). A two-dimensional POV display is often accomplished
by means of rapidly moving a single row of LEDs along a linear or circular path. The effect is that the image is
perceived as a whole by the viewer as long as the entire path is completed during the visual persistence time of
the human eye. A further effect is often to give the illusion of the image floating in mid-air. For building this
project, requirement is just a small 40 pin microcontroller, a position encoder, and SMD LEDs.

For years, LabVIEW has enabled engineers and scientists to develop sophisticated autonomous systems. At its core, Lab VIEW is widely used for sensor and actuator connectivity and currently offers more than 8000 drivers for measurement devices. Furthermore, with new libraries for autonomy and an entirely new suite of robotics-specific sensor and actuator drivers, LabVIEW provides all of the necessary tools for robotics development. The DC Motor is an attractive piece of equipment in many industrial applications requiring variable speed and load characteristics due to its ease of controllability. Speed of a DC motor varies proportional to the input voltage. With a fixed supply voltage the speed of the motor can be changed. This paper focuses on controlling the speed and direction of a Robot using PWM technique (varying duty cycle of a square wave) and Arduino. The four different keys are assigned for the forward, backward, left and right movement and it is controlled by using LabVIEW interface Arduino (LIFA).
The paper describes a automatically controlled wheel chair for disabled people. The chair enables the user to move his chair using his finger & hand. The flex sensors and accelerometer on the glove generate ASL coded signals which are decoded & control the chair. It also display the information intended by the user. Additionally the information is also converts to speech. The wireless link between the glove & wheel chair enables any person to operate. This advanced wheelchair system is used for physically disabled and deaf/dumb people move around easily and to communicate with normal people.

Design and Construction of Parcel Wrapping System using Arduinoijtsrd
This paper describes about the automatic parcel wrapping system using arduino UNO. Packaging automation is the process or procedure of packaging a product without human assistance. It can range from individual equipment to simple process or complete packing lines. This system provides smart workflows and eliminates redundant tasks, allowing them to do more with less. This system has three sensors which used to sense the box, objects and the end of the conveyor. This system is commanded to insert 10 objects and the count numbers of objects are displayed on the 7 segment display. Moreover, two flat belt conveyors are used to carry objects and boxes. DC motors are also used for moving conveyor. The first conveyor that run one motor is to carry boxes and the second that runs another motor is to carry objects. IR sensors are used to sense the object and the boxes. Then, the conveyor for carrying the boxes that has filled objects will again to start run and will stop at end sensor. This machine can be used in industries for recording the amount of product. Single-Stage Buck-Derived LED Driver With Improved Efficiency and Power Facto...Asoka Technologies
This paper proposes a single-stage light-emitting diode (LED) driver based on an inverted buck topology, using current path control switches. The proposed circuit consists of a control circuit, a bridge diode, and an inverted buck converter with multiple switches connected to the LED segments in parallel. Whereas the typical buck LED driver operates with a fixed LED forward voltage, the proposed driver operates with a variable LED forward voltage, according to the input voltage level. Because of this capability to adjust the LED forward voltage, it can reduce the current ripple and the switching frequency with a small inductance value. In addition, it enables operation with LED lamps of a wide voltage range, while simultaneously achieving small dead-angles. The detailed operation principles are described, and the design considerations for the proposed driver are discussed. The proposed driver circuit and control operation are verified experimentally using a 7 W hardware prototype with four LED segments. The obtained experimental results show that, under a 110 Vrms input voltage, the proposed driver achieves a power factor of 0.94 with a small dead-angle and an efficiency of 94 %.

CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!

Water scarcity is the lack of fresh water resources to meet the standard water demand. There are two type of water scarcity. One is physical. The other is economic water scarcity.
Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.
