An adverb is a word that modifies (describes) a verb
(They sing softly), an adjective (very tall), another
adverb (ended too quickly).
Adverbs often end in -ly, but some (such as fast) look
exactly the same as their adjective counterparts.
11. ADVERB OF TIME
Adverbs of time identify when the verb took place.
Example: now, nowadays, yesterday, monthly, and
lately.
Example: The new normal nowadays is staying at
home, wearing a mask, and observing social
distancing.
