I like to play football, soccer,
baseball, and hockey. I even like to
play video games, and watch t.v. My
family is my mom, my dad, my two
brothers, and my little sister. My
favorite subject in school is math. I
have lots of friends, their names are
Kenyon B., Devon E., Shane B.,
Brandon H., Aiden L., Sam G., Grant
P., Derek M., Paul N., Mitchel S.,
Carter P., Tyler, and Shane who
moved away. I chose this animal
because it is one of my favorite
animal, and because it’s cool.

Did you know that the kangaroo
belongs to a large family of
many as sixty species ?
Kangaroos carry their young
in a pouch. A kangaroo’s
status is vulnerable, exept the
Tasmanian forester kangaroo,
which is an endangered specie
under the list of Endangered
Species Act. Kangaroos live
or travel in groups or “mobs”,
dominating by the biggest
male.
4. The Early Years
The female usually gives birth
to one at a time. Newborns
usually weigh as little as 0.03
ounces on birth. Once after
birth, the joeys [baby
kangaroos] hops into the
mother’s pouch which it will
nurse and continue to grow
and develop. Red kangaroo
joeys don’t leave the pouch
until they’re 8 months old. But
the Gray kangaroo joeys don’t
leave until they’re almost 1
year old
5. Habitat sweet habitat
Kangaroos live in forests,
woodland areas, grassy
plains, and savannas.
6. What’s on the Menu?
The kangaroo is a grazing
herbivores, that means that
their diet consits mainly of the
grasses. Kangaroos can
survive long periods without
water. Mostly all the
kangaroos also feed on
moisturefilled succelent
plants.

Kangaroos use their tails
for balancing. Kangaroos
have z shaped legs. The
kangaroos can speed up to
30 mph and can leap 30
feet.

bare patch around his. A A
red kangaroo has a
boomerang-shaped black bare
patch on his nose. The gray
kangaroo’s nose is covered
with hairs, except for the
nostrils.

The kangaroos live in
Australia and some parts
of Pupa, New Guinea.

Kangaroos are the only large animal to use hopping.
Kangaroos carry their young in a pouch.
