1. The kinds of Kangaroos
In common use the term is used to describe
the largest species from this family, especially
those of the genus Macropus, Red-kangaroo,
antilopine kangaroo, Gray kangaroo,Wallby.
Among them, I’d like to introduce the most
popular 3 kinds of kangaroos, Red-kangaroo,
Grey-kangaroo, Wallaby.

2. Red Kangaroo
This species is a very large
kangaroo with long, pointed ears
and a squared-off muzzle.
Males have short, red-brown fur,
fading to pale buff below and on
the limbs. Females are smaller than
males.

4. It has two forelimbs with small
claws, two muscular hind-limbs,
which are used for jumping, and
a strong tail which is often used
to create a tripod when
standing upright.

5. The red kangaroo's legs work much like a
rubber band. The males can leap over 9 metres
(30 ft) in one leap. They grow up to a body
length of 3 metres (9.8 ft) long and weigh up to
135 kilograms (300 lb).
The average red kangaroo stands
approximately 1.5 metres (4.9 ft) tall.
Accounts of sizes greater than this are not
uncommon, with some large males reportedly
reaching approximately 2 metres (6 ft 7 in).

7. Gray Kangaroo
The eastern gray is easy to recognize: its
soft grey coat is distinctive, and it is usually
found in moister, more fertile areas than the
red.
Red kangaroos, though sometimes grey-
blue in color, have a totally different face
than grey kangaroos.

8. Red kangaroos have distinctive markings in
black and white beside their muzzles and
along the sides of their face.
Grey kangaroos do not have these
markings, and their eyes seem large and
wide open.
They have a very similar body and facial
structure, and their noses/muzzles are fully
covered with fine hair .

9. The eastern grey's coloration is a
light-colored grey or brownish-
grey, with a lighter silver or
cream, sometimes nearly white, belly.
The western grey is a dark dusty
brown color, with more contrast
especially around the head.

Wallabies are herbivores whose diet consists of
a wide range of grasses, vegetables, leaves, and
other foliage. Due to recent urbanization, many
wallabies now feed in rural and urban areas.
Wallabies cover vast distances for food and
water, which is often scarce in their environment.
Mobs of wallabies often congregate around the
same water hole during the dry season.

11. Wallabies face several threats. Wild
dogs, foxes, and feral cats are among
the predators wallabies face.
A wallaby utilizes its
powerful hind leg to fend off predators.
Their powerful legs are not only used for
bounding at high speeds and jumping
great heights, but can also be used to
administer powerful kicks to potential
predators.

12. Wallabies also have a powerful tail that
is used mostly for balance and support.
Humans also pose a significant threat to
wallabies due to increased interaction.
Many wallabies have been involved in
vehicular accidents as they often feed
near roads and urban areas.
