Understanding User Needs and Satisfying ThemAggregage
https://www.productmanagementtoday.com/frs/26903918/understanding-user-needs-and-satisfying-them
We know we want to create products which our customers find to be valuable. Whether we label it as customer-centric or product-led depends on how long we've been doing product management. There are three challenges we face when doing this. The obvious challenge is figuring out what our users need; the non-obvious challenges are in creating a shared understanding of those needs and in sensing if what we're doing is meeting those needs.
In this webinar, we won't focus on the research methods for discovering user-needs. We will focus on synthesis of the needs we discover, communication and alignment tools, and how we operationalize addressing those needs.
Industry expert Scott Sehlhorst will:
• Introduce a taxonomy for user goals with real world examples
• Present the Onion Diagram, a tool for contextualizing task-level goals
• Illustrate how customer journey maps capture activity-level and task-level goals
• Demonstrate the best approach to selection and prioritization of user-goals to address
• Highlight the crucial benchmarks, observable changes, in ensuring fulfillment of customer needs

• Home Based Business
3. Lesson 1: Find A Solution To A Problem
• “The Wedding Ringer” came about because Jimmy Callaghan (played by
Kevin Hart) found a need that needed to be filled – to provide best man
services for those who do not have a best man.
• If you have some knowledge that could help others solve a problem your
business will be successful if you put in the work and time and effort
needed to make it so.
• You have a perspective that others may agree with/learn from/relate to
4. Lesson 2: Be Confident and Competent
• In the movie Jimmy takes the time to know EVERYTHING there is to know about his
client played by Josh Gad.
• By knowing everything he was able to adapt to certain situations that arose in the
movie.
• Know everything about your product/service.
• By knowing everything, you are more confident and therefore more competent in
answering questions or objections people will have.
• Take the time to understand what your customers need or want and tailor your service
to that – Importance of Market research.
5. Lesson 3: A simple Act Of Kindness Goes A
Long Way To Helping Somebody
• In the movie, Josh Gad finally feels like he is part of ‘the gang’ having previously been
friendless.
• As the movie goes on you see a change come about in Josh Gad because Kevin Hart
(and the other guys, although under false pretences at first) made Josh feel like he
finally had friends and he was able to go out and do things that he previously had not
experienced.
• This simple act of showing interest made the world of difference in Josh Gad’s life.
• You never know whose life you are changing by a simple act of kindness
• A personal touch in your business can go a long way.
6. Lesson 4: Don’t Forget Why You Got Into
Business In The First Place
• In the movie Kevin Hart’s character goes through a moment where he calls his
clients ‘losers’.
• He is reminded by his Personal Assistant about WHY he started this business in
the first place.
• Your WHY is so important to your business success. If you lose your why, the end
game, the reason behind your efforts, then everything becomes redundant.
• As soon as Kevin Hart’s WHY came back in to focus, the whole tone of the movie
changed.
• Your WHY is your focus to move forward and really see the results you want to
see.
• Everyone has a different why:
• Change their lives Pay off their debts
• Provide for the family Work for themselves
• Be able to travel School/University Fees
7. Why Did I Start A Home Based Business?

• Be independent
• Its about the long game
