This document contains the agenda and minutes from a meeting of the SGPB held on June 26, 2009 in Jaipur. It discusses 6 ongoing mineral exploration projects in the Jodhpur region, including projects surveying for limestone, base metals, and decorative stones. The document outlines progress made on the current projects, with all targets for the 2008-2009 fiscal year achieved. It then proposes 4 new projects for the 2009-2010 year, setting exploration targets and maps for each new project area.

The CarboZALF-D manipulation experiment – experimental design and SOC patternsAgriculture Journal IJOEAR
Abstract— The CarboZALF-D manipulation experiment – experimental design and SOC patterns
Soil erosion by water or tillage is an essential landscape-shaping factor with feedbacks to the carbon cycle. To study C dynamics and C balances as a function of soil erosion we set up a manipulation experiment at field scale, called “CarboZALF-D”. A defined amount of topsoil material was removed from an eroded Luvisol towards a Colluvic Regosol and reactive, clay-enriched subsoil material was blended into the topsoil of the eroded Luvisol. By doing so we induced transient states for C cycling, net fluxes of CO2 and the C balance. The overall aim of our experiment is to get reliable findings to answer the question: Does soil erosion causes a CO2 source or sink in arable landscapes? In this paper the concept, implementation, and preliminary results of the manipulation experiment are described.
The research is about how tropical deforestation had impacted soil function in Kapuas Hulu, West Kalimantan, Indonesia.
Deforestation had reduced soil nutrients, infiltration rate and carbon stocks. This study suggests and confirms that logging should be banned from hilly and mountainous landscape in order to sustain soil functions.

Ground Improvement by Vibro Stone ColumnsDesh Sonyok
Vibro replacement stone column is one of the widely used soil improvement technique to improve the settlement characteristics, bearing capacity and mitigate the liquefaction issues of the soft soil. In this paper, improvement of the settlement characteristics of the soft soil is considered for the analysis based on the available case histories. A settlement estimation method proposed by Preibe (1995) is verified quantitatively. Finally, an analytical solution for settlement of soft ground for the stone column design is proposed. The proposed method of calculating settlement is based on the basic concept of composite material and soil mechanics. However, the result of this preliminary work is yet to validate numerically and in the field. Detailed research in future is necessary to check its validity and applicability
Reservoir Characterization of “G900” Sandstones Using Wireline Logs and Cores...iosrjce
Wireline logs and cores are analysed to evaluate the quality of reservoir “G900” of Gabo field as
insight for reservoir production optimization planning. “G900” have very good intergranular porosity and
excellent permeability with the main reservoir fluid content as oil and water. “G900” sands are cleaner
towards the North indicating relatively higher play potential. This clay rich subarkosic to arkosic sandstones is
rich in quartz and albite with grain size that is fine to coarse, dominantly poorly sorted, platykurtic to
mesokurtic with symmetrical to fine skewness.. It is a stacked interval of near shore deposits within deltaic
sequences that is rich in ripples and cross stratifications. Effective reservoir development plan of “G900” is
achieved by combining this result with seismic, well test, production data and other geological information to
reduce uncertainties, reveal “G900” lateral extent, compartmentalization, complexities, and fluid quantity for
improved production forecast.

Seismic Reflection Surveys in Search for Iron Oxide Copper-Gold (IOCG) Depositsiosrjce
Seismic reflection method can delineate very complex geological structures hence it might be very
effective for detecting the presence of Iron Oxide Copper-Gold (IOCG) deposits. Despite this superior
attributes, there exist a real problem for exploration beyond the immediate vicinity of a known deposit. All
previous studies have focused upon high resolution detection of mineralization and the hosting structures at
mine scale. No argument for “regional” exploration have been proposed probably because a cost benefit
analysis has never be conducted at such scale to proceed with such exploration venture. In this study, we
analyze the feasibility of such regional exploration by modelling a Vulcan IOCGU deposit scenario were a 2D
seismic survey with relatively sparse source-receiver geometry was used to detect the presence of a possible
intrusive package within 2km depth range. The modelling results demonstrates that seismic reflection method
using 10m geophones and 20m shot spacing can be used to image deposit within the depth of 2km. The
presence of reflections was visibly observed especially at the edges of intrusive packages hence it is suggested
that application of seismic reflection methods perhaps will remains the best alternative and most viable method
for exploring deep seated IOCG

achieved over 10 boreholes (9 completed, 1 under
progress). These boreholes cover 1.50 sq.km. area.
Boreholes have inter sected 2 to 7 zones of gray
limestone having variable thickness. The cumulative
thickness of such zones in 25 mts. Considering this
thickness in 10 boreholes 30 M.T. geological reserved
