This document outlines four states of resilience: low competence and low commitment; low competence and high commitment; high competence and low/variable commitment; and high competence and high commitment. For each state, it provides guidance on setting goals and objectives, ensuring the process is understood, introducing resources as needed, pacing oneself, and conducting check-ins. The overarching message is that the approach should be tailored to the individual's level of competence and commitment.
