Opener (10 minutes) We are going to pull open a Google Doc that we have made.
On the Google Doc, there is fruit scattered all over the page
and a chart for them to be placed in.
(7 min) We will ask one table at a time to come up and
place the fruit in the correct column on the Google Doc.
(3 min) After each group has placed the fruit in the chart,
we will total up the fruit in each column as a class. We will
then add up all of the totals.

there will be images and the students will work together to
create a multiplication equation relevant to the image.

(8 minutes) Students will each have a piece of blank paper
and will be encouraged to draw pictures using groups and
objects. They will pass it to their neighbor next to them who
will write an equation.

Work Period (25 minutes) We will have three tables that each student can choose from
before the work period is over. At each table, there will be a
different activity. They can move at their own pace and go
in any particular order. They can complete all three if there
is time, but can also complete one or two if that is all they
had time for.
● Choice 1: For this station students will need to use
snapchat or if they do not have it download the app
“QR Reader for iPhone”. There will be multiple
shapes laid out on the table and the students will
then have to group the shapes with the correct
multiplication problem. To check their answers the
students must use the scanning app on their phones
to check each problem with the QR Codes.

● Choice 2. There will be three piles of flashcards with
numbers written on them in specific colors.
Students will take a flashcard from the red pile and
one from the orange to make a number in the blue
pile. They will then upload the picture to the class
seesaw journal page. They must take at least 3
