Presentation at the “Open Science: connecting the actors” event on the 21st of November 2022: Share best practices, foster community, and encourage knowledge-sharing on Open Science. At the heart of the Open Access Belgium community is the ambition to open up the way we organize and conduct scientific research. The Open Science teams of the Belgian universities have developed and tested a wide range of training methods, training materials, networking activities and data solutions to facilitate and foster Open Science. initiative
• Objective: provide a place for informal discussion and exchange
between established and early career researchers (ECRs) focusing on
various aspects of scientific writing and publication, and open science
practices.
• Target public: PhD candidates and post-doc
• Language: In English or in French, depending on the audience.

• Participation: around 30 participants (up to 53 registrations)

• Expert experience: round table discussion with one or two
established researchers (as authors, reviewers, or journal editors)

They are effective and fluid. Useful but brief training at first, and
then a complete and straight-to-the-point discussion with a guest
speaker. Good idea to ask for the questions in advance so you can
put them in order and express them in a proper way, very good
selection of speakers (so far, at least), and very pertinent
comments rephrasing or completing some questions or answers
