Barry Cheng served at SodaStream as an intern in the Global Distribution Division at
the SodaStream headquarters during his year of studies in Israel between September
2014 and June 2015. During this year Barry conducted market research and assisted
in the preparations for the launch of SodaStream in China. He conducted desk
research across Chinese and international resources, prepared competitor analyses
and presented his findings and recommendations to the management of the project
in well-structured go-to-market plans and presentations.
During his internship Barry demonstrated an ability to learn quickly and translate his
learnings into valuable contributions to strategic business processes. He
demonstrated good initiative in looking beyond the boundaries of the specific tasks
tasked to him, understanding the broader context and following through to
contribute inputs above and beyond what was expected of him. His dedication to
completion of the task was commendable and he displayed a high sense of
ownership and responsibility in all that was asked of him.
I believe that Barry will be an asset to his future employers and wish him much
