This document summarizes pilot projects using innovative methods to deliver HIV self-tests, including vending machines, vouchers, and mail delivery in the US. Over 732 self-tests were delivered using these methods between 2012-2014, with 51 delivered via vending machines, 210 via vouchers, and 471 via mail. Surveys of 159 people who took self-tests found that 6 (3.8%) tested positive for HIV but all 6 linked to medical care. The projects demonstrated these innovative delivery methods can effectively increase access to HIV self-testing.
