The Gbalin Women Cooperative in Monrovia, Liberia was supported by Oxfam to empower women through sustainable agriculture. 2) Bangladesh faces numerous natural hazards including floods, cyclones, earthquakes, and drought that have killed over 190,000 people and affected over 320 million in the last 30 years. The population and economic activity in high risk areas have also increased vulnerability.
3) By working together, the NARRI Consortium aims to have a greater impact through complementing efforts, avoiding duplications, and gaining credibility for advocacy. The Consortium has reached over 1 million people so far and established strategic partnerships with the government of Bangladesh.

HCD Workshop Experiences - Nicole Lin
Nicole Lin organized and facilitated three Human Centered Design workshops with student organizations at the University of Auckland to introduce participants to HCD methodology. Over 46 students from medical and social innovation programs participated in the workshops. Nicole planned the logistics, prepared materials, and guided participants through interactive activities to understand HCD concepts and apply them to their own projects. Participants provided positive feedback, enjoyed learning about HCD, and were excited to use the approach in their future work.

There is a lack of evidence on how to ensure participation is meaningful, effective and sustained. Through action research case studies in an NHS trust and clinical trial, Brady is exploring how to define, operationalize and embed participation at different levels and settings to overcome barriers and be meaningful, effective and sustainable. Flexible, local, youth-centered engagement has proven more successful than traditional advisory groups.

This subtype is prevalent among postmenopausal women and typically exhibits a more indolent course compared to other forms of breast cancer, which allows for a variety of treatment options.
Diagnosis and Staging
The diagnosis of HR+ breast cancer begins with clinical evaluation, imaging, and biopsy. Imaging modalities such as mammography, ultrasound, and MRI help in assessing the extent of the disease. Histopathological examination and immunohistochemical staining of the biopsy sample confirm the diagnosis and hormone receptor status by identifying the presence of estrogen receptors (ER) and progesterone receptors (PR) on the tumor cells.
Staging involves determining the size of the tumor (T), the involvement of regional lymph nodes (N), and the presence of distant metastasis (M). The American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) staging system is commonly used. Accurate staging is critical as it guides treatment decisions.

Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators (SERMs): Tamoxifen is a SERM that binds to estrogen receptors, blocking estrogen from stimulating breast cancer cells. It is effective but may have side effects such as increased risk of endometrial cancer and thromboembolic events.
Aromatase Inhibitors (AIs): These drugs, including anastrozole, letrozole, and exemestane, lower estrogen levels by inhibiting the aromatase enzyme, which converts androgens to estrogen in peripheral tissues. AIs are generally preferred in postmenopausal women due to their efficacy and safety profile compared to tamoxifen.
Selective Estrogen Receptor Downregulators (SERDs): Fulvestrant is a SERD that degrades estrogen receptors and is used in cases where resistance to other endocrine therapies develops.
Combination Therapies
Combining endocrine therapy with other treatments enhances efficacy. Examples include:
Endocrine Therapy with CDK4/6 Inhibitors: Palbociclib, ribociclib, and abemaciclib are CDK4/6 inhibitors that, when combined with endocrine therapy, significantly improve progression-free survival in advanced HR+ breast cancer.
Endocrine Therapy with mTOR Inhibitors: Everolimus, an mTOR inhibitor, can be added to endocrine therapy for patients who have developed resistance to aromatase inhibitors.
Chemotherapy
Chemotherapy is generally reserved for patients with high-risk features, such as large tumor size, high-grade histology, or extensive lymph node involvement. Regimens often include anthracyclines and taxanes.

- 5. Project purpose: To transform a residential care unit to a new ordinary housing alternative combined with care in the community
- 6. Further aims To develop strategies for facilitating aging in place with the help of the future workshop method, in collaboration with elderly people, eldercare staff, and other stakeholders. Suggestions brought up in the future workshops should be developed into concrete plans to bring about changes in housing, care and in the local environment to facilitate aging in place.
- 7. To let elderly people, together with staff within eldercare and other actors, create new forms for joint action, collaboration, networking, and coordination of formal and informal resources. To encourage participation of elderly people and staff within home help service in processes to improve the daily life of the elderly from a holistic view on housing and care.
