Oxfam is an international organization that works to overcome poverty and suffering through development, humanitarian, and campaigning efforts. It has a history dating back to the 1940s and works in over 60 countries with over 3,000 partners. Oxfam believes all people have rights to a sustainable livelihood, basic social services, life and security, having their voices heard, and equity. It is funded through donations, government grants, and trading sales, and utilizes over 1,000 activists, 750,000 campaigners, and 4,053 global staff to carry out its mission.
