- 2Go makes it such that companies can mobilize ALL of their enterprise software systems and it does it in just days! But more on that later.
- Because you to carry one of these. I would say that you too have been part of the mobile device revolution. In fact, recently we passed the 2 Billion Smart Device Mark. A number you are a part of. These devices have changed much of our personal lives, yet in the world of business they have only been relegated to function as phones or for email. And this is even after 85% of companies have embraced BYOD in some fashion. The area in business that has yet to catch up is in the area of Enterprise Application Mobilization. Enterprise applications are the large software systems that companies rely on to manage their business. They are ERP, CRM and business intelligence systems, to name a few. In a recent study from Epicor Global, they found that in fact only 25% of respondents said that they have even the basic access to their Enterprise systems via their mobile device. Well, maybe no one wants access to these systems on their mobile devices? On the contrary, Mobility is the #1 requested feature of their Enterprise Systems. In fact it was requested more than all other feature combined. Click So if we have our devices, and we are able to bring them to work, why can't we have access to the Enterprise Systems and be just as functional with them as we are on our desktops?
- Because the problem is complex. It is multifaceted First, most enterprise systems are built on technology standards that leverage, flash, flex, active X, Silverlight, and Java. Essentially, technologies that are not natively compatible with today's mobile platforms. Click Then there are the different roles within an organization that have their needs when going mobile. IT need a solution now. And ideally one that will work across all their enterprise systems. The user wants simplicity. They want access to their current systems that they are already familiar with and the same functionality. The developers would like not to have to rebuild their content or redevelop their custom code just to go mobile Security would also like simplicity along with absolute confidence that if devices are lost or stolen, they are not also losing corporate data assets as well. Finance would like to maximize their current investments that they already have in these enterprise systems And, Executives want something that helps their organization be more efficient, right now, not years from now. - The solution our team has developed, 2Go, solves the problem of how to access all of these enterprise applications via mobiles devices thus ensuring that companies can now take full advantage of their BYOD initiatives secure in the knowledge that, as no data every leaves their servers, they are 100% data secure
- We deliver this solution in 2 forms, on-premise and cloud-based and this infrastructure diagram shows a typical on-premise configuration where our 2Go server software is installed on a server (can be physical or virtual) within the customer’s corporate network and then either using our 2Go gateway app-specific version of VPN or similar access system provided by the customer handles requests for access originating from users using pre-validated mobile devices
- The alternative is to use our cloud-based approach which provides for users to operate in a fully mobile, ‘location aware’ sense where a user based say in the UK (and typically being serviced by our nearest 2Go Cloud Server in Ireland) who then flies to the US will be detected upon landing in New York and future requests handled by our Virginia 2Go Cloud Server to ensure swifter response. If the user then flies to the West Coast before returning to the UK, the same process will happen automatically to route requests via either California or Oregon (dependent on the shortest distance to the user) before switching back to Ireland on return.
- As this slide shows the only significant difference in architecture to achieve this cloud-based formation is the location of our 2Go servers in the our cloud service with the 2Go Gateway still handling access to the customer’s systems and now all communication between the device and our servers being via the cloud.
