1.2 Rationale
The INSET (In-Service Training) titled "EmpowerED-Elevating Excellence in Teaching and Learning" is
strategically designed to fortify and solidify the educational foundation of Landusan National High School's

quality learning outcomes
Child protection policy and comprehensive sexuality education have been incorporated to underscore the
school's commitment to creating a safe, inclusive and gender sensitive learning environment. Teachers will delve
into the nuances of child protection, learning to identify and address potential risks while fostering a culture of
trust and support. Simultaneously, the training will equip educators with the skills to navigate discussions
around comprehensive sexuality education, ensuring that these conversations are approached with sensitivity
and professionalism.
The title "EmpowerED for Excellence" encapsulates the essence of the training – empowering educators
to excel in their profession. The deliberate choice of the word "EmpowerED" conveys the notion of continuous
growth and development. The training seeks to empower teachers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence
needed to excel in their roles as facilitators of learning processes, ultimately contributing to the overall
excellence of Landusan National High School. As we invest in our educators, we invest in the future of our
students, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and a commitment to educational excellence.
