Super Socks
Small Socks, Big Hearts!
ORIGINS
Socks, along with words of encouragement, would be greatly appreciated by a child in
need.
● This is a story our arch-enemies, super sidekicks, and of course, superheroes-us,
with our plan.
● Our goal is to provide hope to children in need through the donation of socks and
encouraging notes.
● We want to help bring back the light that was taken from these children's lives
while also making sure they have comfortable feet.
● Why? Because…
○ This target reaches many in a positive way and is realistic to start with.
○ Socks are very versatile and are a good foundation.
○ This issue is very widespread, and it is our duty to help give back to our communities
FACTS AND STATISTICS
Children in need-
● 2.5 million homeless children in U.S.A out of 100 million.
● 400,000 in foster care.
● 15% disabled in U.S.A
● Recent immigration problems.

NON-PROFIT SIDEKICK
● StandUp for Kids
● Their mission statement is: “Our mission is to end the cycle of youth
homelessness.”
● They tutor and mentor children, have outreach centers, and
community support.
● Why we want them: they don’t give kids the usual physical gifts, they
give advice, and they help with emotional issues
● Parents: speak to parents about prevention, and offer financial
information
BASE OF OPERATIONS
(Financial Support)
● Hanes
● One of the largest sock companies in the world.
● In 2017 Hanes earned 723 million dollars.
● Hanes has their own day of caring where they do
community service, so they would be inclined to help us.
REACHING THE VICTIMS
● Placing ads/flyers in soup kitchens.
● By stapling ads/flyers around our community we will be able to reach out
to more people.
● We will inform and speak to the leaders of our school to seek donations
and to bring more attention to our organization.
● By communicating with religious leaders we can bring our project to the
local church community’s attention.

ARCH-ENEMIES' PLOTS
We already introduced you to our arch nemesis. But every super villain has a
plan to stop the heroes and rip their plan apart by the seams. Luckily, we’ve
come prepared.
● Turning our sidekicks against us. Our partners and financial support
refusing to join with us.
● Lack of donors.
● Areas will be hard to reach with our advertisements and language barriers.
THE SUPER HEROES
As superheroes, we have to find
solutions to the problems that the
villains present. In the previous
slide, we went over the obstacles
that they would present us with.
Solutions
● Have a back-up non-profit as well
as a backup company.
● Raising more awareness, as well as
holding fundraisers in our
community.
● All of us have some out of state
connections, and the companies
assisting us would also help us with
raising awareness.
● In language diverse areas, we can
put images on our posters so it is
easy to interpret.
OUR VISION FOR THE FUTURE
● Raise awareness through interviews on news channels.
● Place ads on public transportation vehicles and in the tunnels of subway
stations.
● Host simulations and workshops all around the world to help the general
population know what poverty is like.
● Have social media accounts.
● Expansion to other types of clothing items.
ELEVATOR PITCH
● Our main purpose of Super Socks is to provide hope through socks and
encouraging words to kids in need.
● Sidekicks make our goal more achievable.
● Flyers and donations help spread our message to communities throughout
the country.
● With your help, we can change the world.

2018 Ambassador Leaders Community Action Plan - Super Socks

ORIGINS Socks, along with words of encouragement, would be greatly appreciated by a child in need. ● This is a story our arch-enemies, super sidekicks, and of course, superheroes-us, with our plan. ● Our goal is to provide hope to children in need through the donation of socks and encouraging notes. ● We want to help bring back the light that was taken from these children's lives while also making sure they have comfortable feet. ● Why? Because… ○ This target reaches many in a positive way and is realistic to start with. ○ Socks are very versatile and are a good foundation. ○ This issue is very widespread, and it is our duty to help give back to our communities

  • 4. FACTS AND STATISTICS Children in need- ● 2.5 million homeless children in U.S.A out of 100 million. ● 400,000 in foster care. ● 15% disabled in U.S.A ● Recent immigration problems. The Causes of Homelessness:
  • 5. THE VISION Warm childrens' hearts, souls ,spirits, as well as their feet. FIVE STEPS TO BEAT THE ARCH-ENEMY: 1. Non-profit organizations 2. Donations 3. Socks 4. Cards 5. Distribution

The Socks: Motivational words: Your Superpower is… ● Determination ● Kindness ● Positivity ● Love ● Courage ● Strength ● Appreciation ● Sympathy ● Empathy ● Creativity ● Confidence Super Suits:Characteristics of Socks: ● Kid friendly ● Fluffy ● Comforting ● Warm ● Bright ● Different Colors Prototype card: The Cards:

NON-PROFIT SIDEKICK ● StandUp for Kids ● Their mission statement is: “Our mission is to end the cycle of youth homelessness.” ● They tutor and mentor children, have outreach centers, and community support. ● Why we want them: they don’t give kids the usual physical gifts, they give advice, and they help with emotional issues ● Parents: speak to parents about prevention, and offer financial information
  • 8. BASE OF OPERATIONS (Financial Support) ● Hanes ● One of the largest sock companies in the world. ● In 2017 Hanes earned 723 million dollars. ● Hanes has their own day of caring where they do community service, so they would be inclined to help us.
  • 9. REACHING THE VICTIMS ● Placing ads/flyers in soup kitchens. ● By stapling ads/flyers around our community we will be able to reach out to more people. ● We will inform and speak to the leaders of our school to seek donations and to bring more attention to our organization. ● By communicating with religious leaders we can bring our project to the local church community’s attention.
  • 11. ARCH-ENEMIES' PLOTS We already introduced you to our arch nemesis. But every super villain has a plan to stop the heroes and rip their plan apart by the seams. Luckily, we’ve come prepared. ● Turning our sidekicks against us. Our partners and financial support refusing to join with us. ● Lack of donors. ● Areas will be hard to reach with our advertisements and language barriers.
  • 12. THE SUPER HEROES As superheroes, we have to find solutions to the problems that the villains present. In the previous slide, we went over the obstacles that they would present us with. Solutions ● Have a back-up non-profit as well as a backup company. ● Raising more awareness, as well as holding fundraisers in our community. ● All of us have some out of state connections, and the companies assisting us would also help us with raising awareness. ● In language diverse areas, we can put images on our posters so it is easy to interpret.

OUR VISION FOR THE FUTURE ● Raise awareness through interviews on news channels. ● Place ads on public transportation vehicles and in the tunnels of subway stations. ● Host simulations and workshops all around the world to help the general population know what poverty is like. ● Have social media accounts. ● Expansion to other types of clothing items.

ELEVATOR PITCH ● Our main purpose of Super Socks is to provide hope through socks and encouraging words to kids in need. ● Sidekicks make our goal more achievable. ● Flyers and donations help spread our message to communities throughout the country. ● With your help, we can change the world. ● Super Socks.
