Kumi. His kind heart and
childhood experiences
enabled him to be able to
give back and deliver words
of encouragement to those in
need. The Soul Project is a
rising organization of people
willing to make a difference

Our Goal
The goal of The Soul Project
International is to encourage
and serve children who are
less fortunate and
underpriviledged locally and
internationally. Our primary
focus is to supply shoes and
school supplies (i.e. pencils,
paper, school bags, ect) to the
children all around the world.
Even as there are numerous
people, especially children,
who don't own a pair of shoes;
it is our goal that these
children are protected with a
new pair of shoes.

Our Mission
"You never know a person's journey until you walk a mile in their shoes."
Martin Kumi's life experiences gave him every reason to
be a blessing to children in need today, even through
shoes. During his childhood days, he had a friend who
would loan him a pair of shoes each week due to his
lack of possessing one of his own. However, he wasn't
the only one who had to borrow shoes, so if he was not
lucky he wouldn't get a pair. In instances where he
didn't have a pair of shoes, Martin walked miles to
school barefoot.
He arrived in the USA in 1994 and since then, he has
always developed a desire to collect shoes to assist
children that are in the same situation he was in as a
child. In 2007, The Soul Project began. It started from
one pair of shoes from a garbage container. He began
picking shoes from different garbage containers, and
then it led to schools and other organizations making
donations. Since 2007, he has raised over 500,000
pairs of shoes and inspired the lives of many.

SHOES OF HOPE In the past couple of months, The
OUR WORK Soul Project has been hosting shoe
drives to get us one step closer to
our goal. At each event we raise
awareness of the number of
barefoot individuals in our world
today. Most of us take our shoes for
granted but in anothers's life, it
makes a world of difference.
Hundreds of thousands of shoes are
donated at each event and we get
one shoe, for one foot, one step at a
time.
Give shoes, change lives....
