3. Our Big Goal
(What we are trying to
accomplish)
We want to rescue domestic stray animals
that are living awful lives out on the
streets. For example thousands of stray
dogs have been run over, poisoned, and
killed in other horrible ways. What we
want to accomplish is to make sure that all
of us our safe in this world.
4. Stray Animal Statistics in the USA
● ~7.6 mil. animals enter animal shelters
every year.( ~3.9 mil. dogs +3.4 mil. cats)
● ~3.2 animals are adopted from shelters
every year (1.6 mil. dogs + cats)
● only ~710k shelter animals are returned
to their owners (620k dogs + 90k cats)
5. Facts about
animals
● It is illegal to abandon a dog or cat unless
you legally transfer the dog or cat to
another home or animal shelter.
● About sixty-eight percent of U.S.
households, or about 85 million families
have pets.
6. Our Vision
(What We want in
the Future)
● Lessen stray animals on the streets
● Make sure our local animal rescue
organizations have the resources to care
for rescued animals
● Also insure all rescued animals have a
loving, adopted family

9. The Team Project
and Action Plan
(How it will be accomplished)
1. Is to partner with local non-profit animal
rescue organizations.
2. Is to start volunteering and donating to
the non-profit organization.
3. Is to talk to your school’s principal about
this plan, so he/she can get involved.
4. If your principal agrees with you about the
plan, then inform and convince your
whole school about it, so that they can be
aware about this crisis.
10. Lost Pets
● Several stray animals are lost pets that
were not kept indoors and were not
given any identification.
● 1 out of 10 dogs will find his or her
home.
● There are less than 2 percent of cats
and 20 percent of dogs that are
returned to their home.
● 1 out of 3 pets will eventually get lost in
their lifetime.
● The longer the dog is lost the more
likely he or she is to hide and run from
strangers..
12. Obstacles and
How We
Overcome Them
Obstacles: How We
Overcome
Them:
We don’t have
enough time to
volunteer
regularly.
We schedule
different people in
their free time.
An organization
rejects our help.
We seek out other
organizations to
help.
