Second StepOur second step was picking our action plan. We had todecide what the main action would be for our project.We had all agreed on raising money to educate kids onwhat animal cruelty is and why it’s bad.
First StepOur first step was picking our topic for our IB Exhibitionproject.We had many ideas but someone had the idea ofhelping animals that have been abandoned or injured.Then we took a vote and animal cruelty had the mostvotes.
Third StepOur third step was to educate kids all around ourschool. We were teaching the third and fourth graderson how animal cruelty effects us. There were someproblems but we did find a way to pull through thoseproblems.
Last StepThe last step was we had a fundraiser in our schoolcalled Pennies For Puppies. We got $328.01. The fieldtrip was going to help teach our class what animalcruelty is and why it’s bad.

Facts 70% of animal abusers have a criminal record. The most abused animal is the chicken. The most abused breed of dog is the pitbull. 4 to 5 billion animals die in shelters each and everyyear. Many people who run puppy mills will sell thepuppies to make money.
More Facts In China, animals are put to death for fur. Over 1 million animals are treated cruelly. The states with the most animal cruelty laws areIdaho, Hawaii, Kentucky, Mississippi, and North Dakota. Every year millions of animals are put to death to makeclothing. 285 million hens are kept in cages so small they can’t evenmove a wing. Dog fighting and cockfighting are illegal in all 50 states.
About The InterviewOne of our group members went with her familymembers to look for a pet cat. There they had cats thathave been abused or treated cruelly. She askedsomeone who worked there about animal cruelty. Theshelter was called Second Hand Purrs. There our groupmember adopted a cat named Daphne.
