The validated GCMMS production system has been released for deployment at several Merck sites including its rollout to Cleveland Maintenance Department replacing the legacy maintenance system, Computerized History and Maintenance Planning System (CHAMPS) in 2010. In 2011, a second implementation plan was approved to extend the use of Maximo by deploying the system to Cleveland's Quality Operations (QO) replacing SARA's (Scientific and Regulatory Affairs) calibration and preventive maintenance functionality. Contribution: Key resource (Asset and Work management functional lead) that implemented Cleveland's QO strategy followed for the process of Master Data transfer from SARA to Maximo, user training, and related activities required to successfully meet the objectives of a controlled deployment per the approved Change Authorization and Implementation Plan.
