The survey assessed organizations' readiness for ICD-10 implementation focusing on testing, financial impact, and strategic implications. Key findings were that almost half have begun testing but most don't know partners' readiness. There is widespread concern about impacts on systems, workflow, productivity and revenue. Respondents expect increased specificity to improve research, population health, quality and claims accuracy. The compliance extension provides an opportunity for more training and documentation improvement.

What’s in store for the next 10 years of orthopedics and spine service lines?
Kristi Crowe, Associate Vice President and Orthopedic service line leader at Sg2 will review future demand for orthopedics and spine services nationally, key factors impacting this demand, and opportunities to build your access channels and differentiate your orthopedics and spine services to capture growth.
About the Speaker:
As a member of Sg2’s Center for Strategic Planning, Kristi Crowe leads Sg2’s intelligence and analytics in orthopedics and works with leadership teams to improve growth and performance across the care continuum. 10-Year Orthopedics and Spine Forecast: Factors Impacting DemandWellbe
Advances in technology and surgical techniques, fluctuations in population, ever-increasing demand for outpatient procedures combined with an array of economic and policy factors will shape our opportunity for growth in Orthopedics and Spine over the next decade. What’s in store for the next 10 years of orthopedics and spine service lines? Mike Graham of Sg2 will review future inpatient and outpatient forecasts for orthopedics and spine services, the key factors impacting their growth, and opportunities to differentiate your orthopedics and spine services to capture additional market share.
About the Speaker:
Mike Graham supports Sg2’s intelligence and analytics in both orthopedics and spine and contributes to the orthopedic and spine forecasts. As an Sg2 thought leader, he writes extensively on the development of orthopedic and spine service line strategy. He also works directly with health care executives and physicians to apply knowledge and strategy to their unique circumstances and environment.
With 20 years of experience in health care management and information systems, Mike has devoted much of his career to sharing best practices in service line development, physician engagement, care redesign and payment reform through publications, webinars, conference presentations and consulting engagements.
Immediately prior to joining Sg2, Mike engaged with hospitals and providers to grow their orthopedic service lines, improve patient outcomes and transition to value-based models of care. Earlier in his career he participated in the creation of groundbreaking approaches in comprehensive spine center development, focusing on innovative methods to improve patient access and employ nurse navigation and outcomes collection throughout the continuum of care.
Mike earned a master in health care administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati and an undergraduate degree in management information systems from the University of Dayton (OH).

There is a massive shortfall in the enrollment and accrual of patients for clinical trials. Identifying the “right patients for the right trials at the right time” is a growing concern for providers, pharmaceutical companies, and clinical research organizations. In this webinar, we will discuss the evolution of clinical trials, including how to break barriers to enable successful clinical research as a care option, how clinical research impacts patient satisfaction and revenue, and more.

Learn about a management model that truly focuses on the experience your customers have when they are using your website or app, and why delivering the right content is essential to the online customer experience. Top Tasks Management helps you identify what matters most to your customers and tests those top tasks to measure and improve the success rates and time-on-task. Measure what your customers are doing (customer outcomes), instead of the old, traditional metrics that measure organizational inputs (websites, technologies, content, apps.) This workshop will show you how digital transformation is in essence about transforming organization-centric metrics into customer-centric metrics.

2014 trends survey of Child health care professionals on Rare Diseases GRIVEAS ASSOCIATES
Between September and December 2014 we have conducted a global online survey to 45,000 children healthcare professionals to identify discrepancies and regional trends on everyday practice, compliance with guidelines, education gaps and preferred education sources in a number of areas including, HPV and Meningitis Vaccinations, Rare Diseases, Breastfeeding and Skincare.
667 healthcare experts, mostly general pediatricians (45.24%) responded from 84 countries. Most respondents were clinically active at general hospitals (29.89%), children’s hospitals (23.65%), private practice (18.7 %), university (17.77 %), and primary care (7.26%).
Telehealth – the ability of patients to connect with their health care providers via video and phone – has taken off during the COVID-19 pandemic. 2014 National Survey
on ICD-10 Readiness
eHealth Initiative and AHIMA, hosted an industry wide survey on ICD-10 readiness in June 2014.
The survey, sponsored by Edifecs, assessed the anticipated impact of ICD-10, focusing on:
Readiness for testing and implementation
Financial, operational and clinical impact of ICD-10
Strategic implications of an expanded code set
Health networks, clinics and physician practices all provided input into the survey
instrument. Of the 454 responses, 32% were from those with management and supervisor
roles, 24% were directors and 16% were executives, while clinicians and other titles made
up the remaining percentage.
While the survey results below will provide you with the details, the key findings were:
Almost half of the responding organizations have begun testing, some organizations plan to
forgo testing, and most don’t have a good sense of how ready their partners are
There is widespread concern about the impact of ICD-10 on systems, workflow, productivity,
and revenue
Respondents are optimistic that increased specificity is expected to improve research, popula-
tion health management, quality and performance measurement and claim accuracy
The extension to October 2015 provides an opportunity for additional training and
improving clinical documentation integrity.
